We enjoyed our stay at the Oyster Bay Villas. The place was very spacious and extremely clean. The screened in porch was a nice added touch especially for our pup Marlee who enjoyed hanging there with the family. We will definitely stay there again.

Winter Retreat at the Beach

Lovely, well kept property. Coffee option was keurig only, and no starter pods. All the essential kitchen utensils. The house was clean, beds were comfortable, and the house was warm. Everything we needed for a quick winter get away.

Great property

We rented this home the weekend before Easter. Rehoboth Beach and Lewes Beach were a short drive away. At this time of year, the area was pretty empty. We loved it! We utilized tennis courts at a nearby park, walked the beach, visited shops and even brought our dog (there is a dog friendly arcade right on the beach). The house was clean and the list of places to visit and restaurants to eat at was hanging in the kitchen. The owner gave their top three recommendations for Italian food, sea food, etc. This made it easy to research and not overwhelming to find a place (we had our kids with us too). It was easy to get into the home and we had great communication with Vacasa. There was a work crew that came to check for water in the backyard/behind the house near the basement access. Vacasa responded immediately via text to verify that it was ok for them to be on property. Great stay and we highly recommend!

The Best Property We’ve Ever Stayed

The VRBO property was very clean, modern and better than expected. We were in town for the marathon and the location was perfect for race morning, which made our stay low-stress. I highly recommend this property!

Our GPS took us to the gate and we didn’t have a gate code so we had to call to find out that there was another entrance. I think there should be a message of some sort to let people know to enter from another side of the community.

Great property

Poor responses or no responses from property manager. Confusing pulling into property if you are using GPS. Property is nice and lots of space. Kitchen had everything you need to cook full meals. Great location to the pool. Pool area was not super clean. Great location for driving to beaches and restaurants.

Very comfortable home

We enjoyed a very comfortable stay here. The decor is just as pictured, house was very clean, comfortable beds, and we loved the screen porch and successfully used the grill. The pool is right there across the parking lot, it looked nice, but weather was too chilly for us to use it. Location is easy to get to everything from this quiet and tucked away neighborhood. The master closet is enormous, large enough for a crib if you have a little one. We did have issues getting inside on arrival as the key code didn’t work, it took a call to Vacasa and several different code attempts, finally got the lockbox to release the hard key. They sent a tech out that same evening who determined they would need to return to replace the coded lock, so we used the hard key for the week instead. The kitchen could use some more items like a sheet pan for roasting vegetables, a better knife set (no serrated),a brew/drip coffee maker (only has a pod machine) and the master bedroom needs a bedside table - I used a dining chair to hold my bedside items. A house book with instructions for pool access, dumpster location and more would be helpful too. But all in all, it was very comfortable and we appreciated bringing my friends’ Chihuahua. We will definitely consider booking this place again next summer.

Overall nice stays with a shaky start

Overall stay was nice - townhouse is as pictured and spacious for my family of 5. Couple of issues we had: 1) Check-in process was a disaster, I was emailed a digital keypad code that did not work. There was a lockbox that contained a physical key but no where in my emails, VRBO or Vacasa apps was a lockbox code provided. I waited on hold for 45+ minutes to be provided the wrong lockbox code, after an hour the correct code was provided and I was able to get the key. 2) when we finally got inside there was a huge bag of linens and towels. I was still on the phone with the Vacasa rep and asked if they typically keep the fresh linens in this large blue bag, he said he wasn’t sure to take a look inside
it wasn’t the fresh linens or towels, it was the used towels from the previous renters. It was gross that he had me touch them, it should have been an easy response on his end that it was the dirty linens the cleaners forgot to take. So this massive bag sat in the entry way for the duration of our stay. 3) There was tons of animal hair on the couch. Owners or previous renters must have allowed animals on the couch, we vacuumed it ourselves and still would be covered in hair after sitting on it. Listing should really make it more clear this is animal friendly and cleaners should do a more thorough job of cleaning couch, it’s gross to have your clothes covered in animal hair when you don’t have an animal. Overall, it was a nice stay but not sure that we would return.
