Itâs a bit tucked back in a weird little neighborhood that wasnât very walkable. The house was very clean and well appointed. The house has very thin walls and very basic but it gets the job done. There is a fabulous outside shower.
This was for a quick last minute vacation before school starts. The place was clean, easy to get to downtown Rehoboth Beach and one floor which was good for two people with injuries. I would stay again in the future.
The house was wonderful. Upon arriving it was very clean, smelled great and easy to find. The space was wonderful for our family. The drive to and from the beaches were so easy. We brought our dogs along and it was super conducive for them as well. The kitchen was well stocked, which was a lovely surprise and having a specific parking spot was so nice to with our little one and dogs. We hope to come back next year!
After reading other reviews, I did not think that the location would be a big deal but the house is literally in the midst of an active work zone. The location was not the greatest but the house was pleasant enough. Everything was pretty much as advertised and the area was fairly quiet just not scenic. The bathrooms were nice but the beds were not very comfortable (3 out of 5) and it was inconvenient to have to bring our own linens or rent them for an additional fee. If you want to use the fire pit, which is a great feature, you must bring your own wood. The best part was the house is close to the beach. The worst part was the WiFi is terrible. Even with the WiFi extenders, it still didnât work 95% of the time and kept cutting out, so I was unable to get any work done or watch Netflix. I also do not think the cleaning crew did the best job as we found several blonde hairs randomly (especially in the kitchen area). There was dog hair on the chairs in the living room and sand on the floors which Iâm assuming came from previous guests. Overall, despite some challenges, it was an okay experience.
We loved our stay. The property was so clean and in a convenient location. I loved that it was quieter than main strip area of Rehoboth do our children could rest soundly.
Not overly clean. Ant traps all over the kitchen. Not really working to control issue. Couldnât leave anything on counter. Ants would swarm anything left out. The lawn/side yard in morning was covered with land hornets that were nesting. Making the yard useless. The internet was spotty and didnât work for over a day. Just not the best experience.
Our stay was short and enjoyable. The location was a very quick drive to the beach which was convenient, but not ideal. The location isn't great as far as you are basically in a large parking lot across from a huge garage by an overpass. Not ideal but close to the downtown area (about a mile and a quarter) I felt the price would have been ok had it been in a nicer location but feel it was about $150/night too expensive. The house was clean and had plenty of space for our family of 6. We had to call after hours services for our check-in (because I missed the check-in e-mail the week prior) and the woman I spoke with was very nice and helpful. In general, if surrounding location isn't a top priority, this was a cute little place to stay for a short vacation.
We spent a week at the property and enjoyed our stay. The location is great - walkable to beach, shops, restaurants (about a mile). We traveled with pets and the yard on the property was key for this. Check in process was easy and fast. Communication with owner was through the Re/Max agent and was fast and easy as well. A few issues: the property was not very clean when we arrived - dust and debris on floors, under beds, shelves. We were able to vacuum once we got there but that seems like a step we should not have to do when checking in. There were ants all over the kitchen and the Re/Max agents had to bring ant traps and spray and explained this is a common problem for all vacation rentals. On last night, the thermostat/air conditioner stopped working and was blowing hot air, raising the temps in the house to 93. We did not get much sleep that night and had to vacate property early morning on our last day there. Seems like a fluke and owner offered a partial refund for the night as a resolution. None of these are deal breakers and could happen at any property. Overall, great week at the beach!
The location is great, and the building is very nice. It looks and feels new. The additional master bedroom was nice, and the AC worked as expected. Some members staying in the smaller rooms claimed the rooms smelled a bit musty. The one thing that is not disclosed in the listing is you need to bring your own linens, or go through their linens company to rent linens. They will deliver the linens, but not set them up. This was super inconvenient travelling from Denver. A long flight to Philly, a long drive, and then I had to make my bed. We arrived exhausted and making our beds was the last thing we wanted to do. The king size bed linen set only provided us with two pillow cases for four pillows. When ordering linens, I was asked what size sheets I needed. Why was I responsible for ordering linens for bed sizes in a place that I've never been to? There was also no blow dryer. Other than that, everything was quite nice.
We had a question (how to work the fan) and a problem (broken door on the cabinet). The owner sent someone out within an hour of receipt of our concerns. The house was very roomy and comfortable. I would return.
House is beautiful - spacious and updated. Really nice decor (love the barn door!) Private back patio was nice in the morning. Used the quiet campfire for smores and enjoyed cornhole. Beach is a mile drive away. House situated near water tower. Quiet neighborhood. Parking was fine for two cars during our stay. (rock driveway, fyi) Beds very comfy - bring linens/towels and blankets (pillows and base bed linen provided) Air conditioning worked amazing. Everything seems brand new! Great weekend stay!
One word to sum up our experience at this cottage would be wonderful! The cottage was extremely spotless and everything in an out Iââhas been completely renovated. As in all rental properties there are some small things that need attention but nothing major. When we first showed up we were a little anxious that the property was on the other side of Route 1 but donât get alarmed because there is an access road that goes under the bridge. There is also a designated parking spot for the cottage Which makes it very convenient to load and unload. If you choose to walk to the beach itâs only a 15 minute walk but some sections near the bridge do not have sidewalks so be on alert for passing vehicles but all in all a very nice walk. Would definitely stay here again!!!
FYI our new favorite restaurants in Rehobeth are Sazio Italian Resturaunt, the back porch and Confucius.
My wife and I stayed in the cottage for 3 nights. It was very clean and well appointed. The location was convenient to the beach and all of the outlets. We will definitely be coming back!
Everything was very nice as we hoped. The house was clean, bedrooms were nice. The beds were comfortable. All modern, new remodeled. Unfortunately for us, the dishwasher was down, so we had to hardware things. It's a very nice place
The walk into Rehoboth is very doable. We walked daily into town safely and comfortably.
My really only negative thing was parking. There should be assigned parking in the lot. This becomes very important while packing and unpacking your car.
We would stay again.
