Wäscherei, ein Garten und Grillmöglichkeiten – all das hat diese Villa (Rauchen nicht erlaubt) zu bieten. Diese Villa besitzt einen Kamin und bietet zudem eine Küche sowie eine Waschmaschine. Genieße den Komfort in vollen Zügen: einen Kühlschrank und eine Mikrowelle findest du ebenso vor wie einen Patio und ein Smart-TV. Die Reinigung erfolgt nur an bestimmten Tagen.

Wundervolles Plätzchen mit Privatssphäre und Blick auf s Meer

Zur Begrüßung gab es selbst gemachtes Moussaka, Wein, Wasser und einen Kuchen. Dies hat uns natürlich sehr gefreut, da wir erst gegen 21h ankamen und hungrig waren. Besonders gefallen hat uns der schöne Garten mit Pool, und dass man beim Frühstücken auf s Meer blicken konnte. Da es keine Nachbarn gibt, hat man dieses schöne Fleckchen ganz für sich. Es gab jederzeit auf Wunsch frische Handtücher. Alle Zimmer sind sowohl mit Klimaanlage, als auch mit guten Mückengittern ausgestattet. Auf den Betten lag es sich auch gut. Man hatte je ein weiches und ein härteres Kissen zur Auswahl. Kurzum: wir waren hellauf begeistert und kommen sicher wieder! :-)

Ein kleines Paradies

Aufenthalt 28.9. bis 19.10.2020 Inge und Uwe aus Stuttgart Wir verbrachten wunderschöne 3 Wochen in dieser Wohlfühloase.Die Lage ist sehr reizvoll.Das Haus ist freistehend und garantiert absolute Privatsphäre,unweit von Geschäften,Gastronomie und Meer. Lily sagt,das cottage ist ihr Baby,der Pool braucht Pflege wie ein Haustier.Das merkt man gleich.Alles ist sehr gepflegt und äußerst sauber.Regelmäßig wurde geputzt,die Handtücher gewechselt und der Pool gereinigt. Nach jedem "schweißtreibenden" Ausflug freuten wir uns auf die Abkühlung im Pool und die Entspannung im Garten. Lily verwöhnte uns mit kretischer Küche und Kuchen. Bei Ankunft begrüßte uns Lily mit einer Moussaka,Kuchen und der Kühlschrank war mit allem gefüllt,was man für's Erste braucht.Eine tolle Gastgeberin! Aber auch ohne Lily's Kochkünste würde unsere Bewertung so ausfallen! Eigentlich wollten wir noch nicht nach Hause.

Wonderful cottage with nicest host

We spent ten wonderful days in Lily's cottage in October with our two children. The cottage is very cozy, clean and perfect equiped. As well as the pool and the garden. Its located perfectly only 10 minutes from Rethymno and not far to other sightseeing locations. And Lily is the best host I ever met, also her cheese pie and moussaka are very delicious!!:-) She was always available, when we needed an advice or recommendation and our communication was very easy:-)

Eine perfekte Woche in Lily´s Cottage

Wir wurden sehr herzlich von Lily empfangen und auch gleich mit köstlichen griechischen Spezialitäten bewirtet. Das Haus hat eine gute Lage und einen liebevoll gepflegten Garten mit Blick auf das Meer. Das Cottage ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet und bestens ausgestattet. Die Betten sind komfortabel. Es gibt einen sehr schönen Pool. Ein wunderschöner Platz zum Entspannen. Wir haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt.

ein sehr schönes Haus mit allen Annehmlichkeiten

Das Haus, der Garten und der Pool waren in top Zustand, wie es auf den Fotos im Portal gezeigt wird. Alles wurde mehrmals während unseres Urlaubs gereinigt. Lily hat uns alle Wünsche von den Augen abgelesen. Man kann sich keine bessere Gastgeberin vorstellen. Ihr herzlichkeit und hilfsbereitschaft ist unübertroffen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und werden wiederkommen.

Absolutely loved Lilys cottage. We have just got back from 2 lovely weeks in Crete. The cottage was fantastic. Very peaceful and we found it hard to drag ourselves away. Lily and George are perfect hosts. Always on hand if we needed them and the welcoming food was just the job. Highly recommended

…. Tina Turner Lily’s Cottage is “ Simply The Best” !! We absolutely loved everything about the cottage, the facilities, the location and the attentive but unobtrusive help and care from the best host in Crete- the lovely Lily! We just didn’t want to leave after our 16 nights and, yes, we will return. Rethymno is only 20 minutes by car and is a classy town with nice shops and some really good fine dining restaurants. Ask Lily she knows all the best places. Having said that the Cottage is well equipped for self catering and we enjoyed many meals in the attractive and tranquil garden with its fabulous sea view.

Awesome Property with Exceptional Host

Our stay at Lily’s was amazing! The house is so well cared for, with all the comforts of home. Lily is an exceptional host. Not only did we greatly appreciate being welcomed with home baking and other thoughtful touches, but many other little details were included: comfortable beds, amazing sheets, local fruit and cheeses provided. Needless to say, we loved our time at Lily’s and would highly recommend her cottage. We have rented many places over the years, and we have never met a host as gracious and welcoming as Lily. Thank you so much for everything!

Heel gezellig goed huis met alles erop en eraan.

Locatie top, huis top, grote tuin met een hoop fruit- en olijfbomen.Jammer dat het Kersttijd was en geen weer om te zwemmen in het zwembad maar we hebben genoten van de openhaard 's avonds. De eigenaresse had alles speciaal voor ons in Kerstsfeer gebracht binnen, heel bijzonder,er was ook eten en drinken in voorraad dus hoefden bij aankomst niet eerst te gaan shoppen.Super plek ook voor uitstapjes zomer en winter. Kortom we hebben een fantastische tijd gehad in een heerlijke woning!

Une villa au calme ,confortable dans un jardin d'oliviers . Excellent séjour dans le "lilly cottage

Super accueil de Lily qui dés notre arrivée (tardive) a su nous mettre à l'aise avec la préparation d'un premier dîner Crétois succulent. la villa est certe petite mais très fonctionnelle . Ayant eu une météo avec 32° chaque jour ..... nous avons pu profiter de l’extérieur en pleine nature et pourtant à 5 mn des commerces . L’extérieur est vraiment super avec des espaces pour l’apéro,le repos les dîners et .....la baignade avec la piscine . Lily tout le long du séjour nous a guidé vers les bonnes adresses de restaurants ,les bonnes plages et les bonnes routes . je recommande sans hésitation le " Lily cottage"

A Great Get Away!!!

Lily's cottage was just what we needed for a relaxing getaway week prior to a tour of the middle east. The cottage is lovingly appointed with art, furnishings, marble tile floors and area carpets. It's just off the beaten path so it's quiet at night but with water views and still close enough to easily get to Rhethymno for nice restaurants and shopping. Lily's welcome casserole in the oven and later in the week made us feel right at home. We loved it!

Fantastic property and owner

An idyllic get away all the facilities you need well appointed .The outside of the property is a real joy to sit out and to relax so peaceful only stress was choosing which set of furniture to use ! A fantastic holiday cottage!

Lily’s cottage is a lovely place on a hill on the outskirts of Rethymnon and a relatively short walk away from local shops and tavernas. The centre of Rethymnon is about a 10 – 15 minute drive. It’s an ideal place for some peace and quiet and to recharge one’s batteries. It’s very obvious from first arrival that the cottage has been crafted with great love, care and attention to detail. It’s very well equipped and provided all the things we look for in a holiday rental (e.g. homely but not cluttered; clean (very clean!); comfortable beds; comfy sofa; good shower; all the dishes, glasses and kit you need for holiday cooking (plus dishwasher); air conditioning; and private outside space). And it’s the garden where the house really scores. The photos only really tell part of the story. The garden is a lovely, colourful, tranquil spot with no overlooking houses. The number of garden chairs in the photos might suggest that it’s a shared space, but no, it’s all for you! Choose a sunny or a shady spot without the inconvenience of moving a chair. Plus there’s a really nice pool (which is 140cm deep). We’ve visited Crete a few times and this was easily the best accommodation (quality and value) we’ve stayed in. The owner, Lily was very helpful and friendly without being intrusive and really went out of her way to make us feel welcome, even bringing delicious home made Cretan cuisine to the cottage. Her son George did a great job of discreetly turning up and leaving the pool sparkling clean. Thank you Lily and George for a great holiday. We’ll be back!

A lovely comfortable cottage

We have just returned from a super weeks holiday 24/4/17 -01/5/17 at Lilly's Cottage. This a really lovely cottage with everything you require . The beds were very comfortable and the inside was to a very high standard. The garden was lovely with lots of flowers and plenty of shady places to sit .The swimming pool was good although we did not use it as the water was too cold in April

We found the Villa to be immaculate and looking as great as on the internet pictures. Lily could not have been more reliable and helpful,even procuring the special rice products we needed. The weather in the first two weeks of October was ideal for us,being warm enough to use the pool,but not too hot for exploring and walking. It all made for a really enjoyable first time holiday in Crete

Wonderful private villa and gardens!

We had a fabulous stay at Lily's Cottage and it exceeded our expectations. The villa was so tastefully decorated and furnished to a very high standard - the sofa and beds were especially comfortable. All the kitchen facilities were modern and spotlessly clean, as was the rest of the villa - absolutely no worries in that direction! The stunning garden with its various seating areas was a real bonus as was the lovely private swimming pool which was kept spotlessly clean by Lily's son George. Lily is such a warm and friendly hostess who provided several delicious home-cooked meals which were very much appreciated (as was the bottle of local wine she welcomed us with!) The setting of the villa is very beautiful and peaceful with amazing views to the sea and is situated within a stunning olive grove; although it is set on the outskirts of town it is not isolated and shops etc are a short distance away. In fact we enjoyed our stay at Lily's Cottage so much we've already booked to return next year - there's no higher recommendation than that!

Excellent experience

We rented this cottage for 4 days. We had an excellent experience. The cottage is well equipped and well maintained. Very nice decor. Comfortable bedrooms. Beautiful outdoor sitting areas. Nice swimming pool. Good wifi and television. Situated on a hill with a view of the sea. Owner is wonderful and helpful. I would definitely rent this property again and recommend to friends.

Beautiful, perfect and relaxing

Lilly was the perfect host: friendly, welcoming and regularly bringing tasty homemade treats such as cakes and moussaka. The house is small but perfectly formed with every detail taken care of. Comfortable beds, air con, shutters, multiple outdoor seating areas, views of the sea, olive trees, comfortable lounge with views, satellite tv. We had a wonderful stay, very relaxing. Privacy is great and a reasonable walk to hubub and the beach. Strongly recommend Fantastiko taverna at the top of the hill for astonishing sunset views and great food.

Maison magnifique et accueil très chaleureux

Nous avons passé une semaine dans ce petit coin ce paradis ... Des notre arrivée, Lily la propriétaire, nous avait concocté un plat typique délicieux, très agréable en arrivant à 22h !!!! Sinon la maison est superbe, un peu éloignée de toutes les commodités mais c est ce que nous recherchions, nous retrouver au calme dans notre petit nid ! Elle est magnifique et décorée avec goût... Le jardin est lui splendide avec une piscine vue mer : le bonheur.... Bref une merveilleuse semaine chez Lily, une femme exceptionnelle 😊

Gorgeous property, great location and most of all a wonderful host, Lily.

My husband and I along with our 15 month old son had the pleasure of staying at Lily's cottage for 8 days at the end of June 2016. We arrived in the afternoon and Lily and her son, George, met us just off the main road and showed us to the villa, which is located just off the beaten track up a small unmade road. The accommodation was great, modern and very nicely decorated in a traditional style. It had everything you needed for a self catered holiday, with a fully fitted kitchen, dishwasher and washing machine. Lily had also provided a cot and high hair for our son. There are gorgeous views from the front of the property to the sea. The outside area was lovely, well established gardens that are very well looked after. Great outside seating areas on the terrace or around the garden. The pool was perfect, reasonable size and the water lovely and warm. George came to clean the pool every 2 days. The property is located up a hill from the main village, but we did not find this much of a problem, even with a pushchair. Although you would not want to walk back in the heat of the day! It is about 5/10 mins walk to the closest taverna and a bit further to the Main Street of the local town. Lidl is also close and provided all our food needs for the week. We had a hire car and would recommend this. We used this to visit nice beaches and Rethymnon, which has a lovely old town only a 10 min drive away. Lily was a wonderful host and went above and beyond to make sure we had a lovely holiday. On our arrival she had cooked a spinach pie for us, which we were very grateful for having had a long journey. The fridge was also stocked with the basics - water and beer, wine and raki! Lily was available via mobile if we ever needed anything and made very good recommendations for beaches on the island. She also bought us champagne to enjoy the full moon, traditional Cretan cakes, fresh eggs and another homemade dish of bread tomato and feta. We also had vegetables from the garden. The property was cleaned twice while we were there and all sheets and towels changed too. Lily would arrange a time that was convenient for us. Bathroom and pool towels provided so no need to take your own. Overall a great holiday, made better by a wonderful host.
