Excellent location. Easy to walk to from parking garage, lots of shops and restaurants nearby. One of the main reasons I booked this hotel was for the restaurant/bar, but while I was there it was closed for renovations. Luckily, there was plenty of restaurants and bars within walking distance. I booked a room with a balcony but it should be noted that the balcony is shared with everyone else on the 4th floor, it wraps around the entire exterior of the hotel..meaning that at any point there could be other visitors standing outside your room window and door so it doesn't feel very private and you have to keep your curtains closed at all times for privacy. Also, no seating is provided on balcony.

The hotel was very clean and the room was a good size. The gym, sauna and hot tub were z great addition. We were very disappointed that the restaurant was closed for renovations as had planned to eat there after a long day-trip out and chose the hotel based on its restaurant. I thought it shoulxvd been mentioned at the time of booking. Also the bar was closed, we wouldvd likd to spend time in there.

The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were excellent. The location is perfect, with lots of great dining and shopping options in walking distance. We would definitely stay here again! Just a heads-up for anyone renting a car, there is no hotel parking. Either park on the street or a close by parking garage, but understand this will be expensive no matter what.

This is a nice and clean hotel with a great location in the city. A large variety of food and shopping options nearby. If you are going on excursions, you will be picked up at nearby bus stops, not the hotel because the street is very narrow. The staff are multi-lingual and were very helpful. We had a lovely view of the city and harbor, but new construction is blocking the view of the bay. Food is very, very expensive in Iceland, so prepare your travel budget wisely. We enjoyed our stay, the city and the country. It is a unique place in the world and beautiful.
