Location was great and everything was within walking distance. Plenty of free parking available. Communication for remote entry was easy to follow. Each room seemed to be different (boutique hotel). The bathroom in our room was extremely small while others was very spacious. Overall I think the value was good

Everything was great. The room with all amenities, a great kitchen, delicious bed. It is close to the downtown within walking distance. The Brikk coffee shop has delicious coffee, bread and pastries too which is an added bonus. No-one from the hotel on site except the cleaners at times.

Quiet, roomy, good location

Very nice place in walking distance to all Reykjavík has to offer. Rooms look recently renovated. Only negative is that main windows don’t open so nights were warm even in September

The room was poorly appointed and in need of maintenance. The bed was simply two single beds pushed together, made up with separate single comforter sheets instead of a proper size fitted sheet. The provided comforters was frayed and damaged at the edges.The bathroom was equally problematic. The shower door opened directly onto the floor, forcing us to exit directly onto the cold tile and step across the entire small room to reach the towel. The shower itself had no shelves or soap rack, offering no space for personal toiletries. Further issues included a hand soap dispenser next to the sink that was attached by only one screw, causing it to twist sideways with every use. In the kitchenette, the faucet was so loose that it required two hands to operate: one to hold the base steady and the other to turn the water on.

There’s a bakery downstairs, we stayed in the room above it, and we were woken up super early every morning when the bakery staff came to work. Also, can hear everyone who passed by talking. Not recommend for light sleepers!

This unit had a kitchenette and king sized bed. However the sleeping area was too narrow to have walking access to both sides, si it was pushed against the wall on one side. The bigger problem was cleanliness and allergies. When I booked, I made a special request for non-allergenic bedding. I received a reply that this "will be taken care of". It wasn't, and pillows and duvets were all down/feather. We requested that they correct their error the afternoon we arrived, via WhatsApp. The off-site desk replied it would be done by 19:30. When it still wasn't done by 10, we went to bed exhausted. At 23:35 the hotel staff phoned via WhatsApp asking if the could come. I was asleep but my husband accepted as long as it could be quick. They arrived 15 min later, with only 2 replacement pillows and no duvets. They apologized for the problem, saying they had found our request on file, but that there had been so many requests that they ran out. They promised that replacement duvets would arrive the next morning, and that they would get the manager to refund the 1st night of the prepaid stay. That was the last we heard from hotel staff. The dust in the room and feathers in the duvets triggered our allergies every time we were in the room. No refund or formal apology came from the manager. This is poor behaviour for the tourism industry. Had they not promised to provide the bedding, I wouldn't have completed the booking. If they can't keep their word, they are worth avoiding.

This was a great option for recognition. It was very affordable. The room was great. The hotel staff was fantastic. I love the self-service. With no fuss or mus with a front desk. The coffee shop with pastries and freash bread on the first floor was fantastic. It was a great convenience to be able to access the bakery without ha ing to go outside.

ODDSSON Downtown was great! Check-in was simple and the room had everything you needed. While it was just outside the downtown area (imo), it was still walkable to main shopping and tourist area.
