Very clean accommodation. Would have preferred better information regarding availability of parking. Stairs between 2nd and 3rd floors could be challenging, especially given the lack of elevator. Very good city-center location.
Check in was a breeze. The room was huge and very clean! We loved he close it was to everything but parking was kind of a struggle. If you found close parking, it was super super expensive. Not sure why they donât have an option to validate parking.
But the property itself was lovely.
Never got in. Got there and could not get in. Had the bar owner below it call the manager. He told him for me to just email him. I didnât have his email. So I just got a room in the hotel across the square. Got the email the following day with instructions on how to get in. Plus it was above a hooka bar with partying all night because of the endless sunshine.
This was right in center center which was great. However, we were there on a Friday night so there was load music into the early morning. But not bad at all. The only thing is that communication with someone was non-existent. I had a couple of questions and there is an email but it went to some central area and did not get a response. There was a phone number but I did not want to make a call on my foreign phone.
The stay was value for money and provided us a place to safely stay and be central to all our activities. It would have helped to publish perhaps the front of the building in the ad so that we were certain in arriving at the correct location. As we have been to Reykjavik many times we generally knew the area but not this guesthouse until this stay. Thanks for your hospitality and nice touches of having tea available in the room.
