Mid week break

We loved the location, being surrounded by fields and wildlife. Elan Valley nearby was beautiful. We were lucky with good weather. Then bed was ok, you need to be fairly able bodied to climb up there.

A perfect stay

We booked the hill side lodge for a girls 30th birthday weekend trip and enjoyed every moment. The lodge is very spacious and provided a very comfortable nights sleep. We throughly enjoyed the hot tub, and seeing all the animals roaming around. The lodge was in perfect location to the sights and walks we wished to visit on our trip. We will be back in the summer.

Great weekend break

A perfectly located holiday village nestled in the wonderful Woman countryside providing a range of accomodation types. Hillside Lodge provided a balance of access to the countryside with luxury and comfort. After a full day of rambling around one of the abundant local attractions, it was a pleasure to return back to a well equipped lodge and relaxing hot tub.

Incredible!

We stayed at Hillside Lodge for a Valentines break and it was nothing short of amazing. The views you wake up to in the morning, the pod itself and just the overall experience. We hope to make visiting the lodge a yearly tradition and would definitely recommend a visit!! :)

60th birthday prezzie

Great weekend in Rhayader- very relaxing, great weather, host was lovely. Visited Elan Valley & the Crown Inn on the Saturday night for a meal. Lodge had great amenities, storage, welcome box - everything you needed for a great weekend. Already a returning customer and will be back :)

Perfect Mini Hen Weekend

We booked a short stay as a mini hen weekend, the aim of the weekend was to destress and relax. That is exactly what this property provided, the most relaxed environment with comfy beds, relaxing indoor and outdoor living areas and the most beautiful views. The hot tub was spotlessly clean and the perfect temperature. The property is close enough to areas with lovely cafe’s, pubs and restaurants but also far enough away to feel like you’re in your own bubble. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will 100% return.

Beautiful setting & lodge

Hillside lodge is a beautiful cabin/lodge with stunning surroundings. My partner and I only stayed 1 night but could happily do a week (if you like quiet) Self check in and out so no need to find any staff, pulled straight up to the lodge with ease. Lodge was clean and tidy with everything ready that we had ordered. If you’re not very ‘spritely’ we wouldn’t recommend sleeping up top due to the steps to ascend but nevertheless a stunning nights stay. Sadly we had a cloudy evening so didn’t get any stargazing but it did t stop us spending the evening in the hot tub. Highly recommend this place if you want to get away from the rat race of city / work life.

Lovely stay

Absolute gorgeous cabin, the hot tub was amazing. There was a lovely welcome package when we got there we had marshmallows, Welsh biscuits, tea, coffee, milk, toilet roll, towels and wood for the fire which I wasn’t expecting. The only downside was the amount of flies that get in if you leave the doors open but they do have fly strips. Could possibly do with extra pillows but other than that it was an amazing few days away. Claire was amazing answering any questions I had and helping out. The site is quite a drive to anywhere so be prepared to drive, but the views on the site are beautiful.
