Serenity

Kylbeg was such a peaceful and relaxing place to be. Just a beautiful house in a beautiful neighborhood with an equally beautiful view. Lots of quiet and privacy. The location was great. So close to Cork City and the quaint towns of Carrigaline and Crosshaven, and an easy trip to the ferry over to Cobh. We all slept well in the comfortable beds, and enjoyed being able to make breakfast and dinner at the house in the well appointed kitchen. It was a treat to be able to sit outside everyday with a cup of coffee or glass of wine, to enjoy the view and the activity on the water. We walked the trails in Curraghbinny Woods and the shoreline road where we chatted with friendly locals. Thank you Robert for the thoughtful welcome basket with so many wonderful local goodies, and for looking in on us to make sure we had all we needed. Always available to answer every question. We truly hope we have the opportunity to come again!

Amazing accommodations!

I can’t say enough good things about our stay. From the booking to the checkout, it was perfect! Robert was so easy to work with and very responsive to every inquiry. When we arrived, there was a gorgeous welcome basket and very nice note. The space was perfect for the nine of us, so comfortable in every way. Having three full baths was especially nice. We enjoyed the garden and the woods and trails behind the house. The view was magnificent. Our family especially enjoyed every amenity, from the posh linens to the espresso coffee machine. Thank you for the perfect location for our family holiday! We have the best memories to take home with us!

Stunning!

Truly cannot say enough about our stay here! From the views, to the house to the communication, all were stellar! Robert was incredibly communicative and helpful on all matters though there was nothing we needed for the house because he had it all! Waking up and having coffee in the front to the view was just as you would imagine. The pictures are truly what you get and more! Plenty of space for our whole group to spread out! Kids and adults included. Cleanliness is really important to us and this was top notch. We loved having this spot as a landing space after a long day of touring. Highly recommend!

Renting Robert’s home was the perfect one week vacation experience for my family and I. Robert and his wife had prepared an incredibly thoughtful welcome package with delicious local foods. So our first evening in their home was relaxed and we did not have to go out for dinner. Robert had been in touch with me from when I made the reservation and was in touch with me several days in advance to go through all the details to make sure nothing was left to chance. Their home is lovely with every amenity and a stunning view from the front yard patio of the cove with boats. Their home backs up on an 80 acre private wooded area on a hill with an ancient burial mound at the top. My grandsons could run around their large yard and walk with us on the wooded path to the top of the hill. The home is immaculate and roomy, with a large modern kitchen. entry to the home from the driveway is into a mudroom, allowing us to drop shoes if the weather was rainy. Relaxing stay

Great location with super views of the estuary and marina at Crosshaven from all rooms and the garden. The house is light and spacious with easily enough room for 3 adults and 2 children. Fittings are contemporary and it's very well equipped, including a pasta maker! Behind the house is a wooded headland with numerous woodland paths to views over the whole estuary. Management of the house it top notch, one call to the host and everything from new gas bottles for the barbeque to egg cups arrived within a couple of hours. Bottom line we would liked to have stayed another week!

Great property with a lovely view

The property is immaculate with just about every feature one can imagine. The only complaint I have is that the vrbo website showed it as being on the South side of the river in Crosshaven, whereas it was on the North side of the river about a 20 minute drive from the Royal Cork Yacht Club where our yacht was based ! I believe that the address also, erroneously included “Crosshaven” in its description and the pindrop was shown to be on the South side. However, the quality of the property made up for this fairly major error. My other main observation is that it was surprising to have to pay in US$s when the local currency is €s

Wonderful!

The house is beautiful with views of the harbor from every room in the house. After traveling, were so appreciative of the basket of treats that Robert left for us! We loved walking in the woods behind the house and the location was both quiet and convenient for exploring the area (we had such a lovely day in nearby Kinsale). The quality of the towels, bedding, and kitchen were excellent and it truly felt like we were welcome (not just using someone’s home while they were away). Plenty of space for this mom and two teenagers to spread out and to spend time together. Robert was responsive with our questions and made us feel at home. We loved our time at this beautiful property and were sad to leave! Our experience could not have been more positive!

Beautiful House on the hill

This home has impeccable views of the bay and is located on a beautiful hillside. The 4 bedrooms accommodated my family with plenty of room. we all enjoyed playing scrabble and ding in the specious dining room and cooking on the barbecue. The home is totally equipped. We also enjoyed the views as we sat outside on the patio. The host Robert was so nice and was easy to reach with questions. This home is a “10” and we loved staying there. Thank you Robert for everything.

What a view!

This house is in the most picturesque location. It’s so peaceful. The five of us had the most relaxing stay. I would highly recommend it to anyone. There is a local cab company that will pick you up and take you wherever you want to go. Robert brought us lots of goodies so we didn’t need to get groceries right away. The house was a highlight of our trip.

Fabulous property for vacation!

My husband, two teens & I stayed for a week in August 2021. This property is delightful! The house is beautiful & quality built with many conveniences including a fully equipped kitchen (I love to cook and I was impressed!). Every room has a spectacular view of the harbor and town of Crosshaven. There is outdoor furniture which we used every day to sit in front of the house and enjoy the view in the fresh air. The property is nestled on the hillside with plenty of privacy. The walking trails behind the house are amazing and it was a bonus to have private access to them right in the yard. We walked for an hour every day and never took the same trail twice! Robert and his wife are wonderful caretakers - excellent at communicating and helpful in every way. Wish we could've stayed for a month!
