We had the best time staying in the Treehouse. The pictures certainly do not do it justice. It truly is one of the best mountain get aways that we have ever had. The fire pit over looking the creek was lovely. The trails on the property gave us a great workout as we enjoyed the beautiful creek views along the way. Hope to get back to this property very soon.
This sweet cozy cabin was wonderful! We stayed just shy of a week and really enjoyed our stay. The kids enjoyed playing in the stream. The hike to the airplane site was a serious hike but worth it! Our dog enjoyed sniffing everything and chasing leaves. The outdoor shower and soaking tub were such treats! The beds were very comfortable. Everything was very clean! For folks with kids (or young at heart!), we took the Skyline into TN and ended up at Mayfield Farm Park in Athens, TN. They have Halloween and Christmas adventures. We really enjoyed our stay at The Treehouse and hope to come back soon!
The Treehouse is a great place to relax with your spouse and pets. The setting is very woodsy and private with a fair amount of cleared space to throw a ball with our Rottweilers. Due to the time of year (fall), the stream was at its lowest, but it still made plenty of ultra relaxing moving water sounds to lull you to sleep at night. The main cabin is well appointed with the perfect amount of space to hangout during the day, make meals and put together a puzzle in the evenings...when you aren't out by the fire or gliding in a rocker on the covered porch. Each of the sleeping cabins has a comfortable queen bed with quality linens and plenty of pillows. The Internet worked well in the main cabin, but the connection was touchy in the sleeping cabins. The one thing that was lacking is storage space. There is no pantry-like area to store food (we used the bar stools as shelves) and the bathroom in the sleeping cabin with the indoor shower has very little counter space. Both sleeping cabins lack a closet or furniture to store your clothes and/or your suitcase. These are minor inconveniences, not deal breakers. The surrounding area has some great scenic drives and hikes - many of which are pet-friendly. The nearest town, Robbinsville, is small, but it has just enough of the shops or other things you may need on your trip. Overall we had a great stay and would highly recommend Huffman Creek Retreat to anyone seeking relaxation in nature. We've started planning our return trip!
My wife, two dogs and I had a wonderful stay in the Treehouse. Thoughtfully designed. Comfy. Fully stocked kitchen. The deck overlooking the waterfall, along with the firepit area and grill made it even better. We had a fire every evening and enjoyed the solitude. The onsite hiking trails and streams kept us on the property most of every day. The hike to the plane crash was a nice challenge. A must stay spot for anyone seeking the same.
We wanted a week away from the City and everything connected with it and found an absolute Heaven at The Treehouse. The sounds of the little waterfalls running next to the house was like soothing music. The home itself is better than described. Comfortable, spacious and equipped with the essentials for a perfect holiday. Comfortable beds, great water pressure, a fun fire pit and for 25 Kali brought us so much wood! The privacy living among the forest was so inspiring. The hikes through the trees along the streams will be in my dreams forever. Because of health reasons we couldn't take the strenuous uphill hikes but I'm sure they would have been great. I would definitely recommend you come in an SUV because the road is rock/dirt for a few miles and would be hard on a car. Make sure to stop at the grocery store in Robbinsville before you arrive so you don't have to go out for anything once you get there. We had dinner at Snowbird Mountain Lodge (the trout was to die for) and Tapoco Tavern (great pizza and burgers) 2 nights while we were there. Highly recommend them both. We plan to return, bring friends and try out every one of their cabins. Don't miss out on this adventure!
