The property was exactly as advertised and shown in the photos. I really enjoyed myself there and I'm looking forward to going back. It was the peace and quiet I was looking for. Taz (their dog) was awesome, he was very friendly and obedient. He understood the rules if you said no, for food or going into the cabin he stopped. He was great company.
Check in was easy. It is a cute but cozy space right on the river. Very close to lots of hiking trails. The pets on the property were very sweet. There is ample kitchenware and cooking equipment but there was no permanent utensils. The fire pit worked well to cook over and had a great view. Would recommend for those interested in a place to crash after hiking in a cabin.
Bonnie and Doug were fantastic hosts. The cabin was clean and a perfect distance from Shenandoah hiking. The location was perfect. The cabin was small, but if traveling alone or with a partner you donât need more space than that.
I chose to stay at Pop's Cabin due to it's peaceful environment. Except for the dogs, which I loved, I was left on my own. My recovery was quite and uneventful
