I like the 24 hour self serve market. I counted on it but when i arrived after 12 hours of flying, it had a sign on computer screen that said " out of order". It let me in with my key. I needed the distilled water for my CPAP machine. I got two items snd went to desk to pay for them. Girl with glassed said very brusquely that i could not do that and I had to put them back. Other guests were told the same. No offer for alternative. The next day, the sign was off the screen so me, and other guests, thought it worked. A man leaving with food said he just paid at front desk. Front desk girl was very rude. Same one. She said, " We talked about this yesterday. We cannot do that. You could have gone to the pharmacy." I only came up again because sign was down and a guest said he paid up front. There was a poor elderly lady with a husband in a wheelchair loaded up with snacks because they had not eaten all day. And another customer. I asked to see the supervisor. Finally someone nice and professional.She wrote our stuff down and let us take it. Elderly lady and other customers thanked me profusely. If that company wanted proper business, they should have come and fixed the machine. We were being punished as honest customers while other customers just left with free snacks. I am not sure if staff even contacted the company. When i was leaving, I asked for a bathroom key since I turned mine in. Girl was very put out and finally handed me a key. None of this happened my first visit.

Very poor check in process from Sunny. She was so busy griping about my using Expedia to book my stay that she ignored my request for a walk in shower. We had to come back down and request another room.

Valet parking was easy to use and with all the construction around the hotel it was an outstanding service! Every staff member we interacted with was very friendly and helpful. Even with all the disruption due to construction at Mayo, they did a good job at easing the pain of the disruption. Our reservation was for 2 people, then found we only had one bath towel. That was interesting, but with one call to the front desk it was easily taken care of and they were prompt & friendly. Our reservation was originally for 3 nights, but our stay at Mayo finished up a day early. Front desk staff very graciously made the adjustment to our reservation for 2 nights. Excellent service!

Very accomadating staff, with holding bags while we tackled our last appointment of trip. Valet was busy but very courteous as well.

Major problems were the bathroom and its amenities. Mold on shower curtain and around top edge of bathtub. Sink was stained. Bathroom tile missing around faucet handles. Towels were very thin and only had 2 sets. Room problems - refrigerator froze every in it and we could not adjust it. When turning on tv, came on at full volume each time tv turned on. No free parking. However, being on the mayo subway was the most important thing to us. Took us 5-10 minutes walking in subway to get to the mayo building we needed. Access to the subway offered access to food and numerous other shops.
