The cabin was set up great for our needs. We were traveling for the first time with our new puppy and the bedroom setup was perfect. The outside of the property was a little disappointing but the lake was right across the street so it was fine. The pictures were a little misleading making the cabin look secluded which it was not. The room could have been cleaner. We had to clean the floor fan in the bedroom in order to have it circulate any air as it was plugged with dust and dirt. All in all, it was priced fair for what we got and we would stay there again.
We had a great stay at this little cottage with our dogs. The host was very easy to communicate with. The cottage was struggling to stay cool in the room during the hot days but thankfully plenty of fans were provided. I am confident we will be back!
Stayed 3 nts, rockaway Beach area is run down lots of old mobile homes and junk. Looks like some of the rentals in area have changed hands and some are being updated including this one it was fine probably wont be back.
It was a perfect little cozy one bedroom, property owner showed us a larger cabin sleeps 9+ that they just finished remodeling. It was beautiful canât wait to bring the family with for a stay in that one too.
Over all a nice clean cozy cabin!
Upon arrival, we found that the lights in the cabin were not working. Partner found the breaker box and breaker was tripped. Still no power to the lamps on the bed stands. He had to crawl under the bed to plug in.
The only heat was a plug in space heater.
The shower had mold growing, had to go into town to purchase cleaning products.
The first night a lady brought over a trash can full of construction materials and dumped into the fire pit right outside the cabin that smoldered all night and had a bad smell.
Night 3 we arrived back at 10:30 pm only to find 3 young adults in black hoodies huddled up against the neighboring cabin. The cabin had boards over the windows and is 20 feet away. We sat in the car and they scattered when they saw us.
Construction began at 7:30 am on the neighboring cabin.
There was a water hose that was left running non stop where the water drained under our cabin.
Cabin floors were sloped and uneven.
We used the washer/dryer and Iâm not sure if the lint had ever been cleaned. We emptied more than 4 handfuls of lint.
I sent a communication to the manager on Wednesday before our Saturday arrival and never received a response.
The cabin had sufficient kitchen utensils, plates, cups, coffee maker, it was decorated cute and bed was comfortable.
This Cottage was very cozy with all the amenities for use to make meals! Washer/dryer combo and even had detergent to wash items! I was very pleased with my stay!
The entire process of booking the cottage, checking in, enjoying the stay, and checking out was seamless and smooth. The cottage impressed us and exceeded expectations regarding the supplies provided. A short walk across the street put us on the lake island with benches and a covered dock where we spent hours enjoying the cool mornings as well as the evening sunsets. We will definitely have this on the "must stay again" list.
Wanted a getaway to relax and this was perfect!! Loved the house, just the right size for the two of us and our dog. Everything was clean and easy to find. Easy walk down to fish and coffee by the water. Branson is a 20+/- minute drive. We met so many nice, friendly people and look forward to returning! The only minor thing was the window AC didn't cool off the bedroom area, so we bought another fan to move the air. There is one furnished, so the two cooled it off nicely, plus the weather was gorgeous! Just something to be aware of, definitely won't affect our plans to return!!! Thank you for the wonderful vacation!!
Right across from a beautiful lake. The dock is all decorated for Christmas and thereâs even a delicious food truck right across the street from this VRBO. The house is really cute and comfortable. About 15 mins to anything in Branson. We loved staying a bit away from the hustle of Branson.
Nice, clean cottage, was nice that my sisters and I all had our own bedrooms (3). There is a grill outside to use, parking right at the back door. Just a 10-15 minute drive to Branson, so was nice for us to not be around all the noise at Branson the whole time and could relax in the evening. Taneycomo is right across the street and the sunrises were beautiful. Would stay here again.
A nicely done cottage with all necessities provided. Not much in the immediate area for stores (Dollar General was about it) and no restaurant options other than a bar or two. The only downside for us was no outside area in front of the house for relaxing and viewing.Lake Taneycomo and surrounding scenery is very pretty. Needs a covered deck or patio in front of the house to make the property complete. Otherwise this older cottage is very nicely done! It is an easy 10 miles or less to Branson, Forsyth, and Silver Dollar City. Nice location.
I only have 2 complaints about the place. Beyond that I do not have enough space to say all the nice things I would like. The first complaint is the provided toilet paper was awful but we left the place stocked with good paper. The second complaint is the mold or something set my allergies off really bad. The cabin was clean, the dock is right across the street, parking was enough for 3 vehicles. We will definitely be back.
