The house itself is legitimately falling apart. The sliding glass door fell off (not because of anyone pulling on it) it literally came off the entire track and fortunately my husband was able to grab it and it took two men to put it back. I was not able to get ahold of any maintenance to come address any issues beyond the messaging service on VRBO. When I attempted to call someone the number I contacted stated they had no record of the home in their system. The house has potential to be amazing but due to lack of care it’s truly about to just fall apart. We also found dirty old lacy underwear in a closet. As a frequent vacation renter through VRBO I and everyone present was very alarmed by the state of this once gorgeous house. The stair case leading to the front door has tiles coming off and it’s clear this is just a “rental” and the owner no longer cares about the state of their house. I also received an email stating though it’s beach front “The beach access from the deck is not available due to sand erosion, must be done from the right of the house and you will have to climb over boulders to access.”. I could go on and on about the list of things falling apart at this home. I hope they are able to do upgrades or basic maintenance soon for their sake due to a lawsuit waiting to happen here. My family is pretty resilient and we made the most of it but the lack of care when attempting to ask for help and the price paid for this home I can not leave a good review.

The host responded promptly to all questions, but the 2 queen air matresses that were listed in the amenities were not available at the property, so do not plan your trip with those in mind. This caused some difficulties as our 23 person group was planning on using those mattresses. There was very little toilet paper...bring your own if you have a large group. The whole property needs renovation and restock with new linens and new coffee maker. The Vacasa printed towles were worn out and old. The regular bath towles looked old as there were too many stains that did not launder out. The ancient MR Coffee is not inviting. The slate tiles on the entry steps were cracked in many places and parts were missing...a potential trip and fall hazard. Not all the folding chairs were usable and the house, although clean, had a shabby worn out feel to it. Varnish worn on the kitchen cabinet doors, old couches that were lumpy and smelled old, wobbly faucets in the kitchen. Hoping the owner invests in a little TLC as the location is wonderful with lovely views of the ocean and easy access to the beach. Overall...nice location, clean but worn out and in need of renovation.

Great for a large group, beautiful view, and we enjoyed our stay. please note there is not AC or screens on the windows. not needed during our stay but I imagine peak summer would be nice to have. We were not allowed to enter the property till an hour after allowed time. which was annoying. was clean but not immaculate. the washer / dryer has a odor and doors in that room wer awkward and damaged. Hot Tub worked great and the fooseball table was enjoyed as well. We would stay again if we had another large group and not worried about the heat.

Rockaway Beach family vacation

We loved being right on the beach. It was awesome. The views were perfect. It was fun having the hot tub to sit and look out over the beach on the ocean. The house could use some upkeep. Where the bedrooms were on the second floor they were bunk beds for the kids by the windows. The windows were right even with the beds and when they were open, there were no screens on the windows. Luckily, we had older kids that stayed in those bunks. We love the kitchen area and the family area. There were extra tables and chairs for our family, but some were broken. We had to be careful overall we had a wonderful time here.

This home was very comfortable for 13 adults and 4 kids under 5 years old. Another bathroom would have been nice, but... The kitchen was very well stocked with dishes and cookware. The best kitchen we've ever had. Only needed a small saucepan. A few issues, the ice maker and water on the fridge didn't work and the master bathroom light annoyingly flickers.I hear the grill was difficult. Cleaning wise, it could have been searched better for former guests belongings (toothpaste tubes, clothing) but was overall pretty clean. With all that said, we would rent it again in a heartbeat and hope we can!

Dirty and broken, but great location

This place has so much potential, but unfortunately the property has been neglected. The house is extremely overdue for a deep cleaning. I felt uncomfortable letting my toddle play around the house as the floors, baseboards, walls, door and window tracks were all disgusting. When we arrived it was clear someone mopped, but missed a lot of spots. There was a big sticky spot on the floor near the kitchen. The front driveway was flooded and muddy, and the stairs were coming apart making it hard for our older family members to get in and out. Inside the washer and dryer was also gross. The ignitor for the bbq didn’t work and the grill was gross, the fireplace didn’t work, and we couldn’t find the directTV remote for the TV in the living room. One of the smoke alarms batteries died, so was beeping constantly. I got a call asking me to light the pilot light for the fireplace, which I could have but this is my vacation, I was there to not have to work on anything. Online support was not helpful, and responded without fully reading my comments The location was great, but be aware there’s little privacy due to being right next to public beach access. Easy walking to the little town, beach, or a hike through a preserve. This place was not cheap, but if they just spent one week of profits on cleaning and maintenance it would be well worth it.

The property has tons of room. If you have elderly in need of easy access this is not the place to stay. There are lots of stairs. The stairs going into the property need to be fixed even able body people have to be careful. The queen beds need a step for elderly people to get into the beds. The main sliding door you need a very strong person to be able to open it. The fireplace we turned off even after they came to fix it you could still smell gas and we didn’t want anyone to get sick. The main microwave doesn’t work. Even after all that
it’s a GREAT HOUSE! The room for kids to play and everyone to sit down and eat is wonderful. The ocean view is fantastic from inside to outside on the deck. The public access to the beach is right on the left side of the house looking out at the ocean.” It is steep but can be done with walking sticks and going down side ways. There is so much available to use at this house check before you haul anything down. Enjoy your stay!

The view was great

Day of check-in got a text stating couldn't check-in until 6pm due to short staffing, when arriving the house was dirty in a lot of areas, mold in the master shower, kitchen stove had food on it. Lots of areas weren't dusted, copwebs all over the house, bathrooms vents are full of dust. First night realized fridge wasn't cooling properly had to throw away a lot of our food, let them know they sent someone out the next afternoon, he just cleaned behind the fridge but of all the trash and dust there was but still wasnt as cold as it should of been. As much money it is to stay there a night and all the fees you would think it would be kept much nicer and cleaner.

HORRIBLE!! FOR MY WEDDING!!!

This was the worst experience staying at this place, I had my 50 person wedding here and the pictures were absolutely nothing like the house or beach, this is a scam and I intend to get all my money back. Tried contacting the host for over 3 months and no response, no beach access, rocks are placed all around the house. It depicted in photos and I had to change my whole wedding ceremony and reception bc of this. Not to mention the beach patrol gave us a $450 fine because of the parameters and this was due to the rocks we had no idea that were there. Luckily we made the best out of the beautiful beach and it was an amazing wedding but we could not use the house and I was had by VACASA. Never stay here. Nothing works everything is broken. Don’t trust these people.

50th birthday party

The house is in need of some major maintenance. For the amount of money that I spent, the house should be kept in better condition. The hot tub jets didn’t work, the sliding glass door is difficult to slide open and closed, and many things were loose and not functioning correctly. The list could go on and on. The location was the one thing that we enjoyed. Take some of the money and do some maintenance on the home. Also, the front of the house tiles as you go up the stairs were loose and broken which is a fall risk. The foosball table players are not stationary so it is pointless to have.

Sisters & Families Reunion

Our family of 17 found the Beach Villa completely accommodating for us. Easy e-lock-code entry, to a beautiful furnished home. Everyone had beds, privacy, and bathroom access; we brought our food and cooked meals in the fully furnished kitchen, and it never felt over-crowded. Clean bedding and towels, all plenty available. We especially enjoyed the beach views from the great room, the hot tub, and close access to the beach. I would not hesitate to recommend the Rockaway Beach Villa to others, and would definitely come here again.

Beautiful view. House need updating bad!! Lights need replacing. New paint inside would help. Updated cabinets a must. Hot tub cover allows rain in. Much more to do. Would not rent again until home updated.

Great location, home had issues

The location of this property was great! Beautiful beach right out the back door with stunning sunsets. The house, however, had some issues. The oven didn’t work, the downstairs bathtub drain didn’t work, the cable TV wasn’t working, the master shower had poor water pressure. Also, upon returning to the home one afternoon we couldn’t get into the house because the batteries in the lock had died. We were able to get in through an unlocked window, otherwise we would have had to wait a couple of hours for the repairman to arrive to change the batteries. For the amount they charged for this property I expected everything to be in working order. Despite all of these inconveniences we enjoyed the time with our kids and grandkids and the beautiful Oregon coast.
