Communication prior to our arrival was difficult; Vacasa's responses seemed automated and unhelpful. A storm knocked out the power during our stay, and we received no support from the host/owner, resulting in significant inconvenience and loss of groceries. We had to borrow a chainsaw from a neighbor to clear the driveway and relied on our own grill to cook.
The property itself is beautiful, extremely clean, and tidy. We met the couple who manage the turnovers, and they were very nice. However, the driveway is very rutted and requires a vehicle with good clearance, especially after rain. It's best to park at the paved area at the bottom of the road and walk 30 feet to the property.
We understand that natural disasters are beyond anyone's control, but there is an expected level of responsibility and support from the host in such situations. Not being able to contact the owner/manager directly was a major drawback. Despite these issues, we enjoyed the property when we had power.
