Sadly we were really disappointed with this booking. The only positives were 4 bedrooms, 4 beds, and the hot tub. One of the biggest reasons we wanted to book was for the game/sun room and the ping pong table. The game/sun room had a beetle infestation & the electronic game table controls felt sticky. The ping pong table came with 1 ball, 4 partially busted paddles, & 1 broken in half paddle. Everything about the cabin was janky or dirty. The soap bottles were old & dirty (like, come on, that is a 1 upgrade!), the sponge for cleaning dishes was clearly super old & ripped, measuring cup cracked, utensil holder full of crumbs, gum on top of a shelf that got on my sons shoe, the list goes on. Personally I just felt gross being in here. It is clear there is no love or care that’s been put into this property. It is falling apart and Mickey Moused back together. There is even a nail sticking out of the door frame RIGHT next to the towel hook in the shower that I caught my finger on. Obviously the location is good, but definitely felt overcharged for the condition of this place. It’s absolutely lacking. It would be so easy to at least get a solid set of cookware, bakeware, and cooking utensils. Everything here is mismatched it honestly makes you wonder where they even got it. All the cabinets are unorganized. Rugs covering up broken tile in the bathroom. They say it’s family friendly but there is a flight of stairs with no way to block them off.
No garbage disposal (not the end of the world but a heads up would be nice!!), old sponge, all the soap bottles were similar to this - busted/dirty/old.
Gum or something on top of the shelf for clothes storage.
Gum on my son’s shoe. So clearly this place isn’t dusted or cleaned! This is the shelf used for clothes storage since there are no dressers or closets.
Hard to see, but the nail next to the towel hook.

Located in such a great location for our family vacation (adults, teenager, and adult son and girlfriend) to explore Red River Gorge. We were right down the street from underground kayaking, within 20 minutes of every hike that we did and super close to restaurants. Plenty of space for all of us in the kitchen and living room, and plenty of privacy with the 2 floors of bedrooms and multiple bathrooms.

The cabin is in a great location and overall is fine, but definitely not what we expected.The listing says the home has 2 living rooms, but there is really only one. The second "living area" is in the basement and has 4 bar stools and a ping pong table, it's not a lounging living space. The downstairs bathroom started leaking on our 2nd to last day causing a foul odor to permeate the downstairs. We looked under the kitchen sink upstairs and noticed an overflowing bucket placed underneath the kitchen sink. We were able to empty the bucket and eventually stop the leak, but the smell wouldn't dissipate. There is a 4-season sun room off of the main floor, but there was no heat in that room, so it was unusable during our stay. The grill did not work and the dryer took several cycles to dry a small load. We had to wash towels while we were there (4 nights), due to the low quality of the towels, some of which were threadbare. The microwave in the kitchen also worked sporadically. Thankfully there was a 2nd microwave in the basement that we were able to use. The kitchen cabinets and fridge did not appear to be fully cleaned, so we wiped those down.

Woodpointe is a great cabin

We stayed at Woodpointe cabin 2nd week of June and we'd defiantly give it a thumbs up. Easy check in, just stop by the Daniel Boone coffee shop and pick up the keys witch was right on the way to the cabin, we arrived and the cabin was clean and well stocked with cooking utensils as we brought all our food to cook meals. we had 7 in our group. it was spacious, comfortable beds, 3 bathrooms, big yard for the kids to run around in. Centrally located to many activities made a plus. A huge deck to relax on. gas grill to cook on and fire pit with chairs made for relaxing times. We enjoyed our stay and would defiantly stay again.Scott W and group

Convenient Location

The cabin was nice. The location was perfect to all the sites. It did seem to be in the middle of a remodel. We did have a surprise visit in the living room from a frog and a snake hanging out under the lid of the jacuzzi.

Needs some work

The property was okay. There were many pros, like enough beds for each of us, multiple bathrooms, ample living and dining space; however, the dishwasher had no power, the property wasn’t properly cleaned, and check in could be updated. The location is fantastic and it was peaceful. We did enjoy the hot tub but it’s in an odd location, under a deck. I’d hope the management would make some improvements before renting again, and reconsider the hefty cleaning deposit.

Family time

The property didn't live up to expectations. It's not a newer cabin. Wasn't stocked the greatest with pots and pans. In room heaters in downstairs bedrooms. The ping pong room and space outside the rooms were chilly. Few disappointments. Arcade game didn't work and the dishwasher had to be Plugged/unplugged in to get it to work. When had issues and called to resolve it was always a plug in unplug situation. Kids were excited play game and disappointed when we couldn't get it turned on. Maintenance said had been issues lately. So why it wasn't fixed or taken out of property description I don't know. The lady at the check in office was nice, apologetic and bothered that we had the problems we did. The hot tub was very clean. The beds were comfortable and it was spacious in kitchen/living area. We had our family time and we didn't let the little things ruin it

Great location, awful communication, poorly equipped

VRBO reservation had no info about check-in. Requested info and it came after on the road! Too late learned we were required to bring paper towels, bath soap & Roku for TV! Dishwasher didn't work (no power); flickering light in downstairs bath; no oven mitts; dirty floor in bathrm; bedrooms downstairs w/ no windows or egress. Stairs to downstairs bedrms uneven & dangerous. Location great. Beds super comfortable.

Best cabin experience yet

We came to enjoy the trails and fell in love with this cabin. It has all your needs covered.So nice to have a fully stocked and extremely clean cabin to come back to after a long day of hiking. The location was pleasantly peaceful and very close to many trails and hot spots in the area. We will return!!

Beautiful cabin

My cousins and I had a mini reunion here, and the cabin was beautiful and quiet. There were plenty of dishes, pots, pans, utensils, dish soap, some DW tabs, a dishcloth, 2 dishtowels, a coffeemaker (it takes flat bottomed paper filters, and there were some there but ask), toaster, and microwave. The only thing we couldn't find was an oven mit or potholder, so you may want to bring one. The bedrooms were spacious with some places to stack and hang clothing, but we couldn't find any hangers, so bring your own if needed. The beds were very comfy, and the area quiet, and we all slept very well. The new grill on the deck made meals easy for us, and that area is shaded in the afternoon, making it bearable even on the 90° days. The landscaping around the property is beautiful, with a pretty hill of wildflowers behind the property behind the deck. There was ample seating and a large low table with plenty of room for all. We never used the tv or pingpong table, one used the hot tub and enjoyed it, and we used and enjoyed the fire ring twice. We brought our own mountain pie makers, hotdog sticks, kindling, and lighter, and the manager will deliver you a few bundles of firewood if you give them a heads-up, which was very convenient. The one issue I had was dealt with very quickly by the manager, and I will definitely recommend this property and others in this group of cabins to others.

Woodpoint Cabin Getaway

We enjoyed our visit and would recommend this cabin. The weather was perfect for hiking. Check out Red Point BBQ- the food is delicious- especially the brisket. The cabin has a large kitchen island and fully equipped for cooking. We enjoyed our stay!
