The Charming Rooms lived up to its name. Located near St. Peterâs, the fashionable Cola di Rienzo, and close to the Metro, it was affordable, pleasant place to end our trip. Hosts Luca and Luigi offer all sorts of recommendations to enhance their guests stay. We will definitely book with them the next time we visit Rome.
This place was a mess. First of all we got to the place and noone was there. The instruction did not work. The reason could be that our phones did not work in Italy but they should have had someone there to check us in. We had to wait in a restaurant near by to use the internet not mentioning how hot the weather was. The guy apeared within 10 min. The floor of the unit was so dusty. Bedsheet did not smell good. I looked under the bedsheet and it was very dirty. The tv screen had multiple annyoing lines on it. It was broken. The kettle made an extremely loud noise that would wake even your neibours. The main door door key did not work well. Worse than all we asked the cleaning lady to clean our unit once we leaved. We left in 15 min left the cleaning needed tag behind the door cauae we needed shampoo and clean towel. We came back a few hours later and noone had touched our unit. We left the next morning without being able to take a shower. I was not happy and would not recommend this place to anyone.
First of all the room is quite hard to find because thereâs nobody in the front desk. And everything is electronic to open the first door and the door of our room. It took us awhile to figure out how to open and never figure it how to close it. It took us more tries to lock the door. There was used towels left hanging on the heater in the bathroom. The sink is clogged up. When you brush your teeth all the bubbles from the toothpaste left around the sink. The fridge never gets cold. One which is good is closer to the Vatican. No space to place your luggage if you are traveling couple and had luggage I think it is only good for single accommodation and people who doesnât care of cleanliness.
These rooms are right across the street from the Vatican and remarkably quiet considering the high activity in the area. A/C and Wi-Fi were both good though the shower drained very slowly which is to be expected in very dense areas. I would stay here again because the convenience to the Vatican makes visiting Rome that much better.
