The first night, when we tried to go to bed, there were dirty sheets on one of the beds. To the staff’s credit, someone came up immediately and changed the sheets. Still, it was midnight, and should not of happened at all. The room also had an overwhelming smell of vinegar. The hotel offered umbrellas that were moldy on the inside. When I tried to leave them open to dry out the front desk told me to just close them and put them away. Two factors that contribute to this review: it was pouring rain in Rome and we were coming from a 3 star hotel in Florence with enormous, squeaky clean, rooms and a 5 star staff.

I have been to Rome from the US three times now and have stayed at The Liberty each time. It is walkable from Rome Termini, has outstanding and gracious service, very nice clean rooms, a great breakfast option, and staff support that is worth mentioning more than once. I will be back on my next trip to Rome and I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

This is an excellent hotel. The staff at reception, breakfast and the cleaning staff could not be more helpful and friendly. The room was spacious (for Rome), very clean with a good bathroom. Shower was excellent. Stayed in room 303 which had a good sized balcony. Breakfast was excellent, buffet was available but a choose of 5-6 hot breakfast menus were served to the table. Coffee and orange juice also served to the table. Certainly would stay there again. 5min walk from the train station.

Short: One of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. If you're considering this hotel, stop considering and just book it. Long: Pros: -Staff is amazing. The service is second to none. This includes the breakfast staff, who are outstanding. They wanted nothing more than to put smiles on my child's face every time we went by the front desk. I was beyond impressed. -The room is beautiful! There's a safe, Nespresso pods, cups, free bottled water, the mini-bar is only 2 Euro/each item, similar to buying at a grocery store for most things. -The sink is low enough for a toddler to easily use, there's also a bench for really small kids. -The toiletries are really good. They give you everything too...slippers, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, shower caps, q-tips and so much more. -The shower pressure is so good, that for the first time in my life I didn't open it up all the way. -Both sides of the bed have USB-C and USB-A ports, so you don't need a converter to charge your devices. -The location is an easy 20-30 min walk to most tourist attractions, especially if you bring a stroller for your kiddo. Cons: -It's shady to walk there from Roma Termini after midnight. During the day it's no problem. -It's noisy...a crying baby in a nearby room will wake you up. I assume with AC on during the summer it's not a big deal and it's not enough to bring down the 5 stars that this property absolutely deserves. I highly recommend this place and I'll be back!

Friendly and helpful staff. They are extremely knowledgeable about the museums and sights in Rome. You can trust their recommendations. Their breakfast is unbelievable between the quality and choice. It was easily the best breakfast available from a hotel anywhere. Highly recommend.
