Walking distance for tourism, shopping and business. Do as Romans do
Elegant and well equipped . Not very IKEA, but smart and contemporary, mixed with real antiquities and a lot of character. Best location to visit Rome or to live, in an ancient building, equipped with state of the art appliances and service. Surrounding area is very alive, but very safe too.
We have stayed here several times. The location can't be beat for our interests, the apartment is on the first floor with easy stairs, it is mostly well-equipped (the cooktop is a little challenging to regulate), and reasonably quiet.
I believe that this was the fourth time that I have stayed in the apartment. It is very comfortable and in a very lively yet safe location in the city. One can walk to almost any of the ancient Roman monuments, though I like the convenience of the 24 hour bus pass. The proprietors are very responsive to seemingly trivial problems. The light bulb over the sink went out and my husband needed it to shave. It was switched out in a matter of hours. The books and tourist materials provided in many languages are very useful. It was another very pleasant stay in Rome!
Spacious apartment for two people and ideally situated in a lively neighborhood in the center of Rome. If you go in the winter or the beginning of Spring, be aware the heaters are very noisy and the one in the bathroom does not function at all. We had problems communicating with the owner at first, we received the address of the apartment only 48 hours before our arrival. We tried to reach her through Homelidays but the phone number they had on file was not the right one. We also had to ask for the reimbursement of our deposit after a week, the owner had neglected to post it on our credit card.
The kitchen is small but adequate, it has a nice view of the street life down below (first floor apartment). An updated list of TV channels would have been appreciated. The numbers do not correspond anymore. The coffee machine did not work.
We had a nice stay once we were there, but this rental needs improvement.
This location was great for walking to many of the sites youâd want to see in Rome. The only downside was the price for the quality of the place and the air conditioning did not work well in the living room, only the bedroom got comfortable for sleeping.
Location of this property was outstanding & felt very safe. Pantheon is a fabulous spot and very close by are heaps of great eating spots and everything you need.
The property is very old but we were able to settle in. There are things that need fixing like the air-conditioning in both the bedroom and lounge was very noisy and power sockets need fixing back into the wall.
The bed was very comfortable.
Updated sheets and towels would make a huge difference as these were ok but at that stage where replacement would be great.
This is my second stay at this apartment that feels like a home. The bed is comfortable, the kitchen while not fancy is fine for preparing simple meals, there is a washing machine for laundry so all the bases are covered-as to location it is a very short walk to most of the major sites but feels small enough to let you get your bearings and feel familiar with the neighborhood- l would stay again.
Convenient to everything we wanted to see.
We also decided our spot was in the best neighborhood! Good shopping, open market, gelato, restaurants. We had an amazing dinner at Giordi, melt in your mouth lasagna. We really enjoyed our stay.
Nice neighborhood, nice clean place, older apartment, not fancy, but lovely owner and manager. Marco, property manager, was very helpful as was the owner. They were very accommodating
We stayed a week and the apartment had what we needed. Cannot beat the location. Close to everything! I thought having covers on the duvet would be a good idea as these could be washed we aside than entire duvet. In other VRBO properties we have stayed at, the owner had some detergent for the washer. The person who met us was very knowledgeable. There was an issue with the toilet that was supposed to be looked at but hadnât by the time we left. It didnât ruin out stay but getting things fixed quickly can make a difference to the guests. Thank you for having a nice place to stay!
This neighborhood in Rome is perfect for a short or long stay.. Sites, shopping, restaurants close.
This property host was great- responded to all requests and concerns quickly and efficiently. The apartment feels like home and all the amenities at your doorstep are perfect- Thx again Luc
This was a perfect location to see Rome from. We were able to walk to the Vatican, Colosseum, Pantheon and Trevi Fountain. There were so many places to eat within 5 minutes walking that often it was difficult to choose. The small kitchenette was handy to have to keep things bought at the grocery store cold in the fridge. The propertyâs owner was very accessible and available if we had a need. The air conditioning was great given it has been a very hot summer. Well worth it.
Considering the high rating of this listing and my impression that VRBO was more reliable than other sites, my boyfriend and I were disappointed by our stay here in Rome. The location was wonderful and was the highlight of the stay. Lucilla was nice but difficult to communicate with and didnât check in once her colleague let us into the apartment to see if we were all good or had any questions. We were there during a heatwave in Rome, and the apartment didnât have AC except for an incredibly loud AC unit in the bedroom that made it difficult to sleep. The apartment itself was quite old and not as well-maintained as it appeared in photos, and the futon bed we slept on just had a duvet cover (no duvet) on it when we arrived. There wasnât any soap in the bathroom and unfortunately the Wi-Fi was very slow and occasionally non-functional. This all wouldâve been manageable, but was made all the more frustrating because of the cost of the apartment. I had requested to change the reservation to be a day shorter over a month before our stay, and for some reason Lucilla was unable to accept the change until the week before our reservation. Because of this, I only received a 25% refund for the amount I paid. All in all, it wouldâve been the same amount to be at a hotel with proper AC and nicer facilities.
The pictures are accurate. The location is A plus in Campo de Fiori area. Bit of noise from bars in the evening. Loved having the space of a real one bedroom, kitchen and living room. Assistant Marco was a great greeter and helped by text. Thank you Lucilla.
We very much enjoyed this spacious apartment for 9 nights! We were in walking distance to everything and took advantage of the great markets all around to make great meals. The fish store had the freshest salmon and seafood salads, the vegetable markets had the sweetest and juiciest tomotoes.. The stores had delicious cold cuts and cheeses to rival the best chautriere boards and the wines stores were great. Luc was very helpful, she responded quickly if you had any questions. There was even a secret door with a washing machine for small loads and a dishwasher!
