The room was a little tired, but clean. Unfortunately our room (room 14) was in the corner of the property and next to what I assume was the storeroom. The staff were going in and out very early in the morning and were quite noisy. One late afternoon some workmen were parked outside our room loading up their van, again very noisy. Not ideal for people on holiday wanting to relax after a day out. The kitchen facilities were adequate and well stocked. However, I was concerned about the positioning of the microwave. It was on a shelf at a height that was not safe to remove hot food from. Although it was a walk out of the centre, it was well positioned and ideal for Te Puia and Redwoods Treewalk. The lady on the reception was very friendly when we arrived and very helpful when we asked for information about the area
