To be succinct:
This house is priced way above its decore, cleanliness, and amenities.
Issues
1. Doors donât properly close and lock
2. Outdated appliances
3. Unacceptable kitchen ware
4. All garbage cans overfull on arrival and departure after a week
5. House flies dead and alive everywhere.
6. No reasonable cable to watch any sports season events like bowl games on ESPN
7. Upstairs furniture and decore are poor
8. Hot tub and controls are ancient and inside a bedroom
9. Washer left with towels that were musty
10. Little to nothing nearby for restaurants or grocery shopping
Positives
1. Quiet area except for train passing very close by a few times daily
2. Plenty of parking
3. Fire place and wood
4. Large amount of space
5. One hour from many ski mountains
We liked the location, right between Stowe and Killington/Okemo slopes. Everything was very clean, beds were good, hot strong showers, and hot tub was enjoyable. We would stay there again. It is the flavor of small town Vermont.
Nice house and just over the mountain from Sugarbush
Our group of 3 families enjoyed our stay at the house. The hot tub was not working, which was a real bummer- but the house itself worked out perfect. The kids (6 of them ages 9-14) all shared the bunk room and loved having their own space away from the adults. Bedrooms were comfortable and house was clean. Kitchen had everything we needed. Fireplace was great for the chilly nights. Not much to do in the town but a quick trip to Worth Burger Too and Lawsonâs was right over the hill. We skied 4 days at Sugarbush and for December skiing we were pleasantly surprised!
This home is nestled in an idyllic Vermont village with beautiful views of the surrounding hills. Lovely location, charming fireplace , and ample room for many guests. The home could benefit, however, from improved instructions and cleanliness for the advertised hot tub. We settled on this location and turned down others because of its advertised hot tub, but were disappointed the first night to be unable to figure out how it worked and unable to find instructions. Contacting the property manager was difficult, indirect, and time consuming and we lost a night of hot tub use, as a result. We finally figured out how to get the hot tub operational on day #2, but quickly discovered that it smelled strongly of mildew or mold. Very unpleasant, even when in use. The property manager responded to our request for help by day #2, acknowledged that the hot tub needed better instructions, and offered to give us a $25 per day discount for the inconvenience if we weren't able to get it to work. Overall, because we chose this location for the hot tub, we were left pretty disappointed about that one detail. But despite the hot tub issue and the difficulty in contacting the property manager, we still had a great week and found a lot of charm in this home.
The house was very nice, comfortable, and had many utilities and materials available for us. The area has many things to do that are close and free and the weather was perfect. Would love to stay there again!
