The location is great - the stream next to the garden kept us cool in hot weather, and the children could play in it, although it is rocky and shallow (bring water shoes), and the garden is as peaceful as could be, with wonderful walking country all around whether you want to climb forested hills or walk through open rolling Normandy landscapes. The house is well equipped and comfortable for 6-8 people, with plenty of seating inside and out, and a built in barbecue, and some play stuff as well, badminton bats and so on. We wanted to retreat from Covid craziness and be in a place where we didn't really need the rest of the world for a week, and it's perfect for that - you have space, scenery, and peace, although it's also quite nice knowing that the friendly neighbours are a hundred metres or so away - they were very helpful. There's a deserted riverside building just upstream that you see from some angles which isn't exactly beautiful, but it isn't a bother and generally it's pretty idyllic. There were eight of us, including 4 children of all ages, and we had a really very good time, whether fishing (limited success, but quite some fun) or exploring or just hanging around. We didn't even have any bother from mosquitoes, despite the stream. The local villages are pretty sleepy, but pleasant enough and you can get the stuff you need without going too far. Bread and a simple shop are just a couple of kilometres.
