a little awkward to get to, but well worth the effort, close to the sea and itâs a very impressive restoration of a more traditional 18th century villa/apartment
A magnificent property, with a spacious room, apparently some Marquis lived there in the 1700âs. Rooms were very historical looking , but had a/c, tv, etc.Bathroom was very modern and functional. If we ever went back to Salerno we would definitely stay there again.
This beautiful hotel spoiled us for the rest of our trip. The rooms were big and well appointed. The breakfast was delicious and it was wonderful to have access to the room with tea and biscuits at all time of the day. We had 2 bathrooms and 2 bedrooms which was fabulous for our teen. The location was also great - not too far a walk to the train or the harbor as well as restaurants and shopping. We would definitely stay here again in a heartbeat!
The two hosts were extremely helpful and accommodating. The decor is unlike any other hotel you will ever stay in. If you want an experience that isnât a standard hotel room, this is for you.
We loved the accommodations and all of the small touches! We felt welcomed and at home. The breakfast was fantastic and the area had a lot of options for things to do and places to eat!
The apartment itself is beautiful as the pictures indicate âŠ.however there is a bar and an alley in front of the building that is so loud we ended leaving a night early. They really should warn how noisy it is
Alexis was very gracious host. He gets his workouts by offering to assist with carrying luggage up 2 flights of stairs. Breakfast more than adequate and a washer allowed us to catch up on laundry. Rooms are maintained very well despite being in older building. A detailed book is maintained which tells you everything you need to know. We thoroughly loved staying at Casa.
Alexis and Angelo were wonderful. The space is gorgeous, clean, and very comfortable. Breakfast was lovely and it was easy to find. There was some loud music late night one night that made for a rough sleep but Angelo and Alexis made sure that it didnât happen again. Casa Santangelo is a wonderful stop in Salerno if you want to get away from the crowds of the hotels with easy access to ferries, restaurants, and other sites.
The property was pretty cool but it is a Bed and Breakfast not a hotel. The person on site was great and helpful. The area was good and walkable but there was a dog barking constantly at night and first thing in the morning from a neighbouring building that was very loud and obnoxious.
Great charming bed & breakfast spot. Alexis speaks great English and was very helpful. His breakfast spread is better than any Italian bakery, making a nice start to the morning. The 1800âs room was like sleeping in another time period. Highly recommend.
Alexis was very attentive and resolved any small problems that might have soured a very wonderful stay in Salerno during this cityâs magical Christmas lights displayâŠPlus the restored beauty of the rooms put a regal atmosphere to the whole experience and that final touch of a decorated Christmas tree in each room, made the season wholeâŠ.
Excellent property and the staff was amazing. Helped to point us in the right direction to discover the city. Huge room and felt like we were staying in a home vs a hotel. Plenty to see nearby and room was clean and updated bathroom
