We are frequent travelers, and this is my first negative review, so it's going to be long.The property is misrepresented in the listing. There is a man (the owner) living in the shed within 25 feet of the main house. He wasn't bothersome, but this should be disclosed in the listing. I messaged the host 6 days before arrival because I read other recent reviews about another person on the property, and it took her 5 days to get back to me. She offered a cancellation, but at this point it was less than 24 hours before I arrived in SLC, and I couldn't find an alternative property. I also thought I was getting a private back yard, which isn't the case. The yard is divided into 2 sections by "fence" - one for the man in the shed and one for you. He can see into the yard which is a small piece of artificial turf, not ideal for dogs.The dungeon decor is unappealing, the furniture is uncomfortable, some doors don't latch and the house is drafty because of the window units.We also got locked out of the house once. The electronic door lock wouldn't open. We knocked on the shed to see if the owner could help but he had no keys to any of the exterior doors. He says our dog knocked the deadbolt (don't know if this is true or false) but who doesn't have keys to their own house as backup?The host is completely unresponsive. It took 4 messages to get check in instructions and I didn't get them until 3pm on the day of check in.I would not recommend this listing.
