I recently retired and have traveled extensively for work and pleasure. This is one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. It started at check-in and only got worse. I asked for a room on the same floor as the people I was traveling with and was told "this is it, take it or leave it". When I entered my room, which never cooled down the entire stay, I found a bucket with a plunger in the bathroom. Not a good sign. Then I found the previous guest's dirty towels hanging on the hook. This made me think that perhaps the maid had only made the bed and never actually changed the sheets. When I asked about getting more towels, I was told I had to request maid service it was not actually done each day. Then I asked for more toilet paper and was told I would have to get it at the front desk. I was never offered to have this brought to my room. There is no valet service. Each time you come in and out of the parking lot, you have to pay. What a scam. The good news is I have options the next time I visit San Antonio. La Quinta will not be one of them. The worst stay and hotel I have ever visited. You might take Customer Service notes from Disney and Chic-Fil-A.

Great place to stay

Connie at check in was absolutely fantastic! She was so patient and deserves a raise. Our rooms were close to each other as I had asked when I booked. She was kind, didn’t rush us, and made us all feel seen. I appreciate her patience with us & the little ones in our group.

Bed Bugs

The hotel had a hard time finding our reservation and told us we were not at the correct hotel. Then the front desk (Connie) was able to find us after all. We went up to the room, and for the most part, it looked decent, but we found not one but two bed bugs. We checked out and didn’t want to make a scene. While getting off the elevator, we caught the manager (Ashley C) and she assured us of a total refund, but due to going through a third party, she would contact Expedia for us for a full refund. She refunded the valet parking. I then contacted Expedia, and the agent stated that they had not received any information about the refund. The Expedia agent contacted the hotel but did not pick up to answer a few questions to provide the refund and stated that they would contact them again to get more information. I have never in my life experience this in any hotels that I have stayed in a little upsetting. I really do hope that this issue gets resolved asap.

Our king Deluxe Suite was very spacious and clean. We were very impressed when we walk in the room and it had a fresh aroma.we had a minor mishap with our linen, but Jennifer and Jessica quickly got us back on track so that we could enjoy our stay. The property was very busy, but alway clean. All staff were polite and courteous. Whenever I'm in San Antonio this is always my go to hotel.
