We loved our stay at the Lavanderie. Joe made sure that we had everything we needed. The location is amazing, on a historical neighborhood, close by the Riverwalk, within walking distance to main attractions and Downtown.
We definitely recommend it !
I enjoyed my stay in the short time being there. The view was Great as well must I include a very inviting atmosphere. Would definitely recommend to a friend! Stay was Great! If youâre trying to impress your significant other this is the place to go, even comes with a bottle of wine. Great location, youâre minutes away from the River Walk.
Nice little out of the way cottage. Very quiet and nice neighborhood. I had problems on my end with communication however that got resolved. Other than parking which is just a minor inconvenience I was glad to find a spot to get away from it all for a night and relax.
The place is comfy, quirky, and just a little off of the beaten path. I loved the visit and hope to come again. It has a lot of character, you need to read the visitors' guides, and don't expect a luxury hotel experience.
Secluded historical house. Perfect for a romantic getaway. Seriously less than 7 minute walk to get to riverwalk. There are some bars with live music and a nice little pizza place a block away. Bring mosquito spray, Texas has some big ones.
I just stayed here a week ago for two nights on a business trip. Joe is very communicative and helpful with any questions, very quick to respond. The instructions for entry were very accurate and checking yourself in was a breeze. The small space is absolutely charming and has everything you could possibly need from towels to cookware. The location is incredible, I am a skateboarder so I really enjoyed being able to step off the property and be exploring downtown within minutes. Short little walk to the south end of the Riverwalk, I made the walk to the end of the Riverwalk and back both evenings and it was a great way to unwind and people watch after a work day. I will be back here.
Wonderful, unique experience in the heart of the historic King William neighborhood. Hidden in the back garden of a large Arts and Crafts era home, the cottage provides a quiet respite from the city that is within a block of the river walk and a few more blocks to the rest of downtown. It has a beautiful rustic simplicity but will be enjoyed more if you arenât looking for a hotel style stay. For instance the claw foot tub is charming but the shower curtains surrounding it are a little tight and the small hot water heater was only able to sustain 10 minute hot showers during my stay. This might explain the variety of review perspectives. Despite these small inconveniences, this is a very special place worth experiencing if it meets your needs.
This was a great place to attend a conference in the convention center. I had a 15 minute walk to to the conference, so I was able to save on a very expensive parking bill. It was a walk across the street to the southern end of the River Walk. The only discrepancy I had was the parking. I had move my vehicle each day as parking on the street was limited to two hours during the day. There was ample parking a block or two back toward Caesar Chavez. Once found, parking was not a problem. I had a great stay and would love to book again on a future visit.
A hidden gem in the perfect location. We were in town for the Rock N Roll Half Marathon. Staying at Lavanderie gave us a quiet spot all to ourselves within walking distance to everywhere we needed to go. We walked to and from the convention center and hemisfair park as well as to restaurants, markets and even the riverwalk.
