The hotel itself was phenomenal. I’d stay there anytime I went to San Antonio. The one and only complaint was that it was hard to get to. There was a lot of construction and we had to go up a one-way to get to the hotel which felt rather unsafe.

Only complaint was shower faucet dripping all night and ac couldn’t get below 71. Other than that the hotel was nice. Didn’t like that it cost 50$ to park either

The historic hotel is well maintained and provides easy walking access to the Alamo and River Walk areas. Unfortunatley, there is no public parking and you are forced to pay $49 a day for valet parking or park somewhere in the city and walk back to the hotel. On check out, the valet parking was packed as it's the only option at the hotel, and we had to wait outside for 30 minutes to get our car. There are no dining options in the evening unlike the Crocket Hotel across the street so we were forced to walk out in the rain to get something to eat at the Crocket hotel. It was 8:00 PM when we wanted to eat dinner and had no options. The bar is cozy and has a lot of history, but the service is nonexistent. If you sit at a table, you will never get service, as you are expected to walk up to the bar to place your drink orders, even if you are sitting at the table. We sat at the table for 20 minutes without being acknowledged by anyone on the staff. I would not recommend this hotel to any of my friends due to our experience.
