We came to town for a concert at Frost bank and also wanted to explore the riverwalk, so this property was the perfect location between the 2. Clean and looked just as pictured. Would absolutely stay again!
The neighborhood is quiet, so we slept well. The house is comfy & just as described. There are lots of places you can walk to eat, drink, or enjoy some time out. The proximity to Alamadome, town, and eateries is great. Host is quick to respond to your messages.
The place was reasonably clean, it was a stones throw from downtown, and the host was really nice. The water pressure in the shower was almost non-existent, and the first night, it did have a couple of cold spikes, Still not bad for the location and price.
This was exactly what I was looking for. Walking distance to the Alamodome and safe. If the kiddo makes state next year, I will try to book this exact location.
The house is small and super cute. We came for a concert so we didnât stay in the house other than to sleep but we enjoyed it. I didnât see any of the issues I read from others stays.
Bring a fly swatter, shower shoes, and a portable fan. đ The guest home is equivalent to an efficiency 1 bdrm, so it has everything you need honestly. The owner is available throughout the day which adds to the convenience's. I stayed 1 night, and I got my moneyâs worth. Iâd probably stay again if I was exploring the same area.
I wish I could say I found the property adequate for my needs but considering everything it really wasn't. It had several nice touches: the vaulted ceilings made a small space feel bigger, the plants in the kitchen windows were nice. The places that needed to be clean were clean - the kitchen, the bathroom, the bedroom. Some finishing touches would be nice, such as a soap dish and bath rug for the slippery floor. The front porch furniture was filthy. The location close to downtown is good, and there is a very good bar/cafe down the street (The Cherrity Bar). It is a rough part of town though, lots of angry dogs in fenced yards, glass in the streets. Owners were not responsive. The first day I was there I sent an email about TV not working, 3 days later I heard nothing and the TV still doesn't work.
Overall, the experience was really amazing. Iâve proposed and got engaged to the love of my life as for the property, the stay was great! However, there were a few things that could have been better. Such as the cleanliness of everything. Also, we had trouble immediately with the Wi-Fi as there was no Wi-Fi router or password put up anywhere. The only way to get the Wi-Fi was to contact the property owner and have him message me back-and-forth through the Vrbo app. You can see how this is ideal as the VRBO messaging section in the app is very slow and not only that, but the property manager was very, very slow to respond. Like an entire day. I would say this score I am giving is very generous, considering we work from home and live off of our electronics. Lastly, I had to have the property managers roommate, come by in person and help set up the bedroom TV to the Wi-Fi because it was not set up for anyone other than one specific person. Regardless, I had a great time, but probably would not stay there again.
