Welcome to Purdon Groves, where tranquility meets Texas charm! Our glamping site offers a one-of-a-kind nature escape in 20 acres of picturesque farmland. Unwind in our beautifully converted school bus complete with a queen bed, private bathroom, kitchen, flat-screen tv, ac/heat, and spacious interior. Nestled just an hour from Dallas, Purdon Groves offers the perfect balance of seclusion and convenience.

Feel free to explore the entirety of the grounds, with the exception of the space surrounding our storage container, inside the garden and animal enclosures. We would be delighted to accompany you on a guided tour of the hydroponic garden and introduce you to our animals. However, we kindly request that you refrain from entering those areas without a guide.

Your hosts, Houston and Sherry, desire to provide experiences that nourish the creativity of artists and enrich the lives of all who enter the gates at Purdon Groves. Over a decade ago they said goodbye to the East Coast and headed west to launch a new office for Houston’s company. They quickly fell in love with the Lone Star State and decided to make it their home. Working with the creative community ignited a passion in Houston for sharing artists' gifts with others. After moving to Texas, Sherry, a freelance writer, found her calling in hosting and fostering a community around the table. Together as husband and wife they create experiences that nourish the mind, body, and soul.

We are a true farm stay! Most of our animals - donkeys, chickens, ducks, sheep, geese - are free-ranging, including our heritage pigs, and are all friendly and approachable.

Whether you're seeking a romantic retreat, a family adventure, or a peaceful getaway, Purdon Groves promises a truly unique and memorable glamping experience. We are located only twenty minutes from the town of Corsicana. Corsicana is becoming a hub for the arts and has plenty to see including galleries, museums, and beautiful architecture. There are many restaurants and places to shop in the town.
