The hotel overall is nice, however the rooms are outdated. The door to balcony was hard to open. There were parts of the room where the carpet was damp, the fridge was leaking water. If you need ice you need to leave the building walk across to the lobby area and get ice next to the lobby. They do have a couple restaurants on site and they are next to the bay so you have a nice senic walk.

The room looked newly updated, and was very clean! The "common areas" were a bit dated--and not as clean; but nothing too bad. The harbor seals were amazing, and my daughter loved them! And the restaurants on site were very tasty! Their gluten free pizza was one of the best I've ever had.

Staff are really excellent in customer service, they even let us check in early that’s so very accommodating on their end since we are with our 2-year old. The place is nice near the area to swim and walkable on all aspects. I just want them to know maybe they can put extra lock at the top of the room door that can’t be a good double lock so that kids cannot open the door. But our stay is so great because we will definitely go back again.

We visited with four adults and one toddler and we stayed a full week. Overall I was happy with our choice to stay at the Bahia! The grounds were nice, the pool was awesome and the private beach was great for little ones since the water was so calm. The two restaurants on site were tasty (although a little expensive but that’s not surprising for a resort). PROS: good location, quiet during the weekday, friendly staff, great pool, comfortable spacious room, easy parking CONS: very LOUD on Friday and Saturday due to weddings. We specifically called and asked for a quiet room and which one we should book- they told us the garden rooms would be quietest. Well… those overlook the wedding reception area, aka extremely loud music til 10pm. Rooms are a bit outdated. The AC kicks on and off which is annoying at night. The suites do not include any silverware, dishes, or anything that you would want in a kitchenette. I would consider staying again, but not on a Friday or Saturday night. Lots of parties in the rooms, wedding vibes, not the quiet family friendly vibe.

Great location and staff were wonderful. Service at dockside was a true highlight. Our kids even commented that the staff were so kind. The only let down was the dampness / humidity in the room. We left and most of our belongings were wet.

Pretty sure I didn’t get put in the room I booked. As mine should have been more of a studio and I was put in a two room setup. But the bedroom does not have AC so the door had to be left open. The screen kept falling off the slider. Every night there seemed to be a party on the adjacent beach which is public property. So bonfire smoke and pot seem to fill the air. Behind the resort is a large parking lot which homeless utilize overnight. The staff are friendly. I mentioned the screen and also closet door being broken first they said they’d fix it, then I mentioned it a second time a day later and they said if it wasn’t bothering me they’d just leave it until after I checked out. Parking was the biggest issue. You’d think the spot in front of your room would be assigned, nope. I seem to have to park by the pool then walk to my room which is at two opposite ends. They give parking passes but obviously not enforced as there were numerous vehicles without them. Several times in the evening I saw people with children coming from the pool to their cars and heard we have to go home now, so it would seem they were not guests just know they can get into the pool without anyone noticing. The pools towel policy is strange as you have to identify your room to get one from the dispenser but the return is just a mass bin but they say if you don’t return then you’ll be charged. Not sure how they verify you did or did not return over someone else. Probably won’t return.

Loved the our room that was on the bay. Nothing so great about the room itself (2 star), but the 5 star location and view did it for us. The restaurant itself it good, with their happy hour offerings. The pool was packed even in September, I guess no longer a slower time?! All in all nice place to stay.
