As described the stay was light and bright and appropriately breezy. The location was perfect for our trip to adventure in Balboa Park and to dine at great restaurants in Hillcrest. The place was vibrant and energetic yet ideal for the quick siesta before heading out to explore more. Thank you for a clean and convenient stay.

Great place to stay if you want to explore Balboa Park/San Diego Zoo. The house is clean and spacious in a quiet but interesting neighborhood. The kitchen is well supplied. Both bedrooms are fairly large. While you have to walk through the larger first bedroom to get to the second one, the second bedroom has a door to the back-yard area. Overall, we had a great time and would definitely stay in this house again.

Great location, historic home layout

House was as described. Location great for all Balboa Park activities. Easy to get to, street and off-street parking available. Comfy beds, well appointed bathroom & kitchen. Check out requirements minimal and reasonable. Things to consider if this is the right space for you: Unit shares walls with another unit belonging to the same owner. Walls are thin so you may hear the other group if there is one and they will hear you. It's an old home with a unique layout. Bedrooms are connected. So you have to pass through one to get to the backyard or to the bathroom/living areas.

Beautiful little house

We had a very good time at this really nice house. Very close to the world famous zoo and Balboa Park. The neighborhood is very nice. The only thing is maybe some more pots and pans to cook with. All summed up: this place was very clean and very nice. We had a lot of fun.

This place was great for the family & our dogs. Beautiful back yard was great to let the kids and dogs play. Close proximity to Balboa Park and all it has to offer meant less time driving & more time playing. Hope to be back.

Lovely, but....

Lovely, comfortable home in a great location next to Balboa Park. But, the reason for 4 stars instead 5, is that we were disturbed by noisy leaf-blowing (which I find to be one of the most useless and obnoxious of human energy wastes) for several hours shortly after our arrival in the late afternoon. This was very surprising given that the "lawn" was entirely astroturf. Why not plant a native, California plants garden that supports a diversity of wildlife and provides more interest to humans as well, and "leave off the leaf-blowing."

Great location if you’re in town for activities in Balboa Park like the zoo and museums. House was clean and comfortable for our stay. Parking in SD is terrible so it was great to have off street parking if needed.

This property is exactly as advertised. It’s a very convenient location, especially to the San Diego zoo and the fabulous Balboa Park. Above all, the customer service provided by Aaron was a real pleasure. He stayed connected and helpful as needed. I would highly recommend this property for your stay in San Diego.

Good location, clean house but noisy

The house was easy to find and access. It was clean and had everything we needed. The only problem we had was the noise coming from the streets around the house is extremely loud. The adjoining units tenants TV could be heard all night long. The walls are paper thin. Just be aware if you are a light sleeper like me you may have issues. I didn't sleep 3 of the 4 nights so we checked out early.

Perfect location and charming home

The location makes this an ideal jumping off point for all San Diego adventures. You can walk to the zoo, and proximity to the zoo means there's lots of Ubers nearby. The house is comfortable and clean and the hosts were so easy to work with. I would definitely stay here again on my next visit!

The best stay ever

My husband and I stayed at this beautiful home in San Diego and loved everything about it. Whoever wrote that last review about this home is so inaccurate and not true. The location was perfect and centrally located to everything in San Diego. The house offered everything we need. The cleanliness was suburb, and I can tell the host didn’t miss a thing. We enjoyed the living room space as well as back yard space to sit and have coffee. The host was very helpful and communication was great from the start. Check in was easy, parking was available and there’s even a washer and dryer to use. All in all we had a wonderful stay and really enjoyed the house and the amenities. Loved being close to all things and I would definitely recommend this home and vacation rentals by Aaron to anyone needing a home in San Diego.

Do Not Stay Here

Check in was supposed to be 3 pm. Drove 8 hours and arrived at 3:40. Housekeeper in the house cleaning. Said she would be done in 20 minutes. House was dirty when we went in. Pictures can make any place look good. House is in original condition and furniture old and not in good condition. House is on a very busy street across from a middle school with the addition of zoo traffic. We were provided with 2 rolls of toilet paper and no Kleenex. Find somewhere else to stay!
