We stayed here during a weekend trip to San Diego. The immediate area around the apartment building is still what might be considered an area "in transition," but when you get a block or two away it feels safe to walk around. Location is great for walkers -- we easily got down to Little Italy, Gaslamp Quarter, Embarcadero. And there's also breweries/restaurants within a mile of the unit. Getting in/out of the apartment was easy -- it's all keypad so no worries about keys. Worth noting that this is definitely in the flight path of San Diego Airport, so during the day and evening you'll hear jets flying low above every few minutes.
The studio apartment was comfortable and had the usual amenities. I was unable to get a steady connection to the siteâs wi-fi and was a little concerned about the condition of the area immediately around the property, but it wasnât an issue during my stay. Free parking is available on the street, but not always adjacent to the property. It should be noted that the property is in the flight path of the airport; low-flying jets could be heard every 5-10 minutes during the day. The property is an easy walk to Balboa Park, and an easy drive to the freeway. The bed was comfy and I appreciated the table and chairs on the patio that overlooks the park.
