It’s a 100 year old hotel with great character. Room was very roomy for a downtown location and would highly recommend it. Staff were super friendly as well.

We really enjoyed our stay at this charming historic hotel in San Francisco. The location is perfect—just steps away from Union Square—yet the room was quiet and peaceful. We stayed on the 11th floor and had a great experience. The lobby seating area was cozy and welcoming, and the front desk staff were very professional and attentive. We especially appreciated the complimentary coffee service from 7:00 to 10:30—it was excellent! The building itself is one hundred years old and beautifully maintained, full of character and charm. We would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic SF stay in the heart of union square

Really nice spot right in the heart of Union Square. Super comfortable king size bed, hotel was quiet. Free coffee in the morning and water throughout the day. Very nice gentlemen at the front desk, including Manfred, who is a gem of a man!

Banging noises

We stayed on 12th floor , room 86. We checked in and heard banging nonstop. The banging slowed to nothing at night but at 7 am it was back , continuously. I think it was the elevator. It made sleeping past 7 and enjoying our stay completely impossible Going to contact their corporate office to let them know how bad it was
