Room was available at check in which is great, however, be aware parking is across the street for $45 a night in a parking garage. They don’t have multiple keys for the rooms, and there’s no fridge/microwaves.
Room was clean, close to places we wanted to go eat. No one bothered us, bed and pillows were comfortable. No TV of air conditioning which was fine during the time i went.
I would give this hotel one step up from a hostel, but I've actually stayed in a nicer hostel. The location is great, right in the middle of different parts of San Francisco, made it very easy to walk everywhere. The carpet was stained and the bathroom felt like a jail cell. Other then the big window brightening up the room the room felt meh. the big highlight was the bed. the bed was SUPER comfy. The staff was very nice as well.
Don’t make a mistake booking this hotel. You will not get any value for your money. Pay a little extra for a 3.5 or 4 stars hotel.
This is definitely not a new hotel—it was probably revamped from a shopping mall to a hotel or something. The place is very old
The most annoying thing was that there was no receptionist, security nor staff to attend to us. No breakfast, no amenities.
We booked two rooms for two nights (feb 11-Feb 13 2026 (rooms 211 & 216)) and could not have our bath on the first night because the hotel showerhead was not working. Immediately after we checked-in and entered our room, We tried to contact the reception to help with the water but couldn’t reach anyone. We tried to contact via Expedia (on the 12th) but did not get a response. Expedia’s customer support also tried but couldn’t reach them. We ended up having to leave the hotel on the second day (12th) without staying the night to book a 4star hotel close by (because we couldn’t go another night without taking a shower).
On our second day, Feb 12 between 4pm and 9pm, we met three other separate guests who had paid for their rooms but were unable to check-in because of a lack of receptionist. (At past 8pm they had not even entered their room yet!)
We left around 9pm on feb 12th after trying unsuccessfully to resolve our issues.
I believe the 5 star reviews on this hotel is a scam because there is no way we (the four guests) who tried to lodge yesterday would give this anything but a one star review.
Old hotel. Toilet flush wont work until I opened the water tank and lift up the lever. They are supposed to refund me for one day and they keep saying it will happen today. I have been calling them everyday and they keep saying the same thing. Still havent refunded me the money.
No woman or family should stay here. It was absolutely creepy. It felt like an abandoned hotel with rooms that are partially destroyed. The vibe is scary and there is definitely a safety concern. I can look past the dirtiness of smeared walls, look past no tv, micro, fridge, or soap/shampoo but it felt like something bad could happen here. There was a tiny window in the bathroom that opened into a boarded up room in total darkness except for painted over windows.
Some rooms left open were abandoned with the remnants of property left by previous inhabitants. Don’t go into the basement.
Room is clean but very rough around the edges. Room was cold, noisy and uncomfortable. Low water pressure. Feces in the street. Bare bones property. Do not stay there, you'll be very disappointed.
It's an old hotel that has been recently renovated and reopened. It's clean, nothing fancy. Great location (not sketchy). Staff was very nice and helpful. I'd be very happy to stay there again.
Clean, nice room and spacious, very secure, not far from Chinatown and other fun things to do.

The stay was extremely unpleasant. The radiator broke which caused it to gurgle and squeal through the night. I got up to the lobby to see if there were staff available to accommodate a room switch. I could hear the noise all the way from the lobby. No luck and just checked out early. The room meets expectations and was clean. But none of that matters when it’s too noisy to sleep. I reached out to the team the next day requesting a refund. They said they would look into it promptly but never got back to me.
Front desk was super nice, and welcoming! Bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom great! Very cute and interesting older building. Great location! Overall we had a wonderful stay!
