Due to an issue with the dam, the whole neighborhood of Isla Verde did not have water. The building provided for separate hours where we could use water. They had portable water brought in by the tank/truck load. Information about this could have, should have been a little bit better, although the situation itself was out of the hands of individual homeowners and hosts.

We had a very nice stay. The best part was the easy access to the beach. Even though it is a large building, we hardly heard our neighbors at all which made it feel peaceful.The place was smaller than expected, so if you have a larger group like we did with six people, it can feel a bit tight. It is probably best suited for a smaller group of two to four guests.The kitchen was well equipped and I was able to cook for my family on most days. There is a lively nightlife scene right across the street with a 24/7 pizza spot, markets, pharmacies, and everything else you might need within easy reach.Tania, our property host, was wonderful and very responsive whenever we had questions or needed assistance.

The check in process is easy. Just report to the security officer and show them your confirmation and she explained the rules and gave local advice. The unit was as described, wonderful view of the beach and of the the coastline to San Juan. The host left snacks and drinks for every on to enjoy.

Great Stay

The condo was just as advertised. The bedrooms were spacious, and the beds were very comfy. It was a very nice touch to have the food when we arrived and plenty of extra blankets and pillows along with beach toys and towels for our stay. The only hiccup in our trip was the power going out for a day and a half but that was not the fault of the VRBO.

Great location in San Juan

The condo was perfect for us. We cooked every day in the kitchen, normally breakfast and lunch. For dinners there are many, many options within walking distance. We want to thank our hosts for the coffee, milk, cheese, bread, beer and rum in the refrigerator upon our arrival so we didn’t have to rush out to the SuperMercado first thing. Our daily trips to the beach or pool took a minute from the elevators. Just perfect for us.

Gorgeous view

We had a wonderful stay! The view was to die for. The AC worked so well. The couch was updated as precious posters said it was uncomfortable. The owner had Bacardi, beer, eggs, cheese, bread & pineapple juice for us-I thought that was so nice. We had some problems with the trundle bed and there was a leak in the closet but the owner was on top of it and took care of it right away. This was a wonderful condo and I highly recommend it!

Amazing views

We had a wonderful stay in Carolina. The condo is right on the beach and the views are spectacular. The unit was clean and spacious, although the furniture is looking a little dated. The ocean view more than compensated for the furniture. The beds were super comfy. The location was so convenient, just minutes from the airport, and the beach and pool were delightful. What we found exceptional was all of extras provided to us. The fridge was stocked with milk, bread, eggs, cheese, and juice. There was coffee, cereal, and even a bottle of rum. The owners provided plenty of beach chairs, towels, and even sunscreen. There was a safe in the bedroom. These little touches made our stay absolutely delightful. One criticism I have is the very confusing parking. One of the attendants in the lobby was delightful and helpful (a very sweet woman), but the man who worked on Sunday morning was not. When we explained that we were having trouble getting the garage gate to open when we were trying to exit, he told us we would have to wait until Monday to get our car out. Eventually we got the gate to work, but his response was unacceptable. Also, the lock box and front door lock were difficult to work, they may need to be replaced. Overall, I would recommend this unit to anyone staying in San Juan.

Aqua water view in a fabulous location

This was different than our usual tropical resort stays. Unique trip in that way. And safe!!! On one side of the building, you have local businesses, high-rises, bars, pharmacies, restaurants, and shopping. If you go through the lobby, you are on the beach. It’s like two different worlds. The beach was never busy. You can rent a tent for $10 and lounge chairs for four dollars each. Long stretch of beach for walking. You can walk down the beach to restaurants. The condo itself is on the 16th floor and has an absolutely stunning view. The water is an unbelievable color. The condo had everything we needed. The hosts were kind enough to leave us eggs, cheese, bread, bananas, and some Puerto Rican rum. We had beach towels, an umbrella, sand toys, and chairs. The smaller bedroom does not have a TV and the beds are twin daybed mattresses. Personally, I didn’t watch TV the whole time I was there, so it didn’t matter. The kitchen was fully stocked, and complaints earlier about the cookware have been remedied. Previous complaints about stained furniture and bedding were not apparent. Looks like the couch has been replaced and the bedding was fine. There are 4000 Ubers in San Juan and so unless you’re venturing out to other parts of the island, you do not need to rent a car. Most Uber pick ups are within a matter of minutes. We did rent a car but didnt explore & didnt need it. Across the street are bars, a small strip club(if you’re so inclined), and 24 hour restaurants.

Beautiful view, comfortable stay

The condo was homey and clean. The parking garage is confusing at first, especially trying to exit. Make sure to note this place is in the oestre (west) building. The pool and beach were so convenient. It was helpful having a Walgreens and restaurants nearby. We recommend Kintaro.

A Little bit of your own Paradise

Had an amazing time with my husband and daughter. Location was optimal and within walking distance to all. Bus stop was right in front of the building. Apartment was cozy. The view from the balcony was phenomenal. It was my favorite place for coffee in the morning and drinks at night. The owner was very thoughtful. From the coolers and beach supplies to basic food and rum that was there waiting for us upon arrival. I was so amazed. Loved everything about this place. Would definitely return!!

Beautiful View Great Location

I checked in on August 31, 2023, everything went easy and smooth, apartment had everything you needed (beach chairs, towels, and kitchenware for cooking). Owner provided first few days with cheese/turkey/bread/eggs and juice
such a thoughtful touch). This is my 2nd time staying at the building in a different unit. My stay was wonderful. However 2 small things that need fixing, the balcony door was very hard to open and close all the time and the living room AC unit wasn’t cool enough plenty of times (not sure because there is a wall unit right underneath and it blocks the airflow). My stay was short until Aug 4 and wasn’t in the apartment much so didn’t get a chance to call management and report these issues. I am hoping and don’t doubt that with my review mgmt will read and addresss/fix these issues in the apt.

Not as pictured - Old, dirty and damaged - Stay away

The view is amazing but that's it. The pictures you see were taken a very long time ago. The sofa has holes, the carpet is dirty, the coffee table is full of scratches and stains. The pans were so old that the teflon was removed. Some plugs were coming out of the wall. Blankets had pee stains. The plumbing in the bathroom was so old that it broke during our stay. The AC in the master bedroom was very old and as noisy as a car. The building is old and damaged, it is the worst on the beach. The neighbours are there to party around the pool and are screaming the whole evening outside. I called the manager the first day with my remarks, she brought me clean blankets and new pans, the second day I had no hot water because the bathtub faucet broke. 2 guys came the whole afternoon to fix it, they had to break the wall. After 2 days in this nightmare, I have asked the manager to leave and to be refunded. She told me that she will talk with the owner and let me know. She never called me back. Her husband called me to say that they were sorry of the situation and they were not able to fix it earlier because the apartment is booked all the time. He was trying to find excuses for everything. They are on an island, it takes a long time to receive a new couch, bla-bla-bla. They didn't agree to refund me, they are just not honest. I don't understand how you can rent an apartment in this shape. It's the first time I have this king of experience with a short term rental. It is a shame.

Great apartment, great building, great location

The apartment was excellent; the in-unit W/D and pool and beach equipment (towels, chair, toys) were particularly great amenities. So easy to grab stuff and GO! The Marbella is a great spot: great pool and one of the best beaches, meaning there are food vendors, umbrellas and chairs for rent, etc. Just steps from the condo.
