We were excited to stay at the Condado Vanderbilt, especially after so many glowing recommendations, but unfortunately, our experience fell short. We arrived early for the Bad Bunny concert and hoped to check in before 4 PM. While we appreciated being offered a changing room, it was too hot and humid to use. Our room wasn't ready until almost 5 PM, which left us rushing to get ready. The $100 credit was a nice gesture but didn’t make up for the stress. Later that night, we were surprised to find there was no room service available after hours. This is unexpected for a hotel of this caliber. The next morning, we reported a leaking toilet that was never fixed. It seemed like the hotel was unprepared for the concert crowd, and management didn’t plan adequately. That said, the staff was truly excellent. Everyone we encountered was warm, professional, and doing their best. Special thanks to Amanda at Ola Beach Front restaurant and Gabriel the bellboy, who made us feel genuinely welcome. With better management and preparation, this hotel could live up to its reputation again.

Be aware of the extra charges if you’re planning to stay here. They require a $1,200 deposit upfront on a card, which I didn’t expect to fully use—but with all the extra fees, overpriced food and drinks, plus mandatory valet parking, I ended up reaching (and even exceeding) that amount. Just something future guests should know before booking.

We booked two nights before the cruise and, hoping for a five star experience, selected an ocean view room. However, the room was a big disappointment. It was on the second floor overlooking the roof and pipes with the ocean visible only from the furthest side of the window. We thought it was an honest mistake and tried talking to the front desk but they said it is an ocean view, not ocean front, so that’s what we get. Outside of the disappointment with our room, the staff at this hotel are very nice and friendly. The food was expensive and hit and miss. At the Mexican restaurant, we waited for over an hour to get our food. The hotel itself has great facilities and very nice hot tubs and swimming places but we had to pay extra fees at check in for facility usage that apparently was not included when we booked the room through Expedia. Experience versus value, I do not believe we got our money’s worth.

Awesome experience, Giovanna. The concierge was awesome and very helpful. They also have free bikes you can take out and explore the beautiful island. I recommend wandering off to the private beach under the hotel for breathtaking views and beautiful picture opportunities for you and your loved ones.

We absolutely loved our stay here! Everyone was amazing from the employees in the ocean restaurant, to Daniel at the pool and even the guys who would open the front door of the hotel!! Everyone was so nice and helpful. The room was amazing, spacious and very comfortable. The snacks and drinks were a nice touch!!
