A great place to relax and unwind. My friends and I enjoyed our stay though it was short. Itâs a peaceful place. We enjoyed lounging in their cabanas with our drinks from their bar while watching the waves. Friends were able to get massages on the cabanas at night while listening to the ocean waves. They also have a lot of activities available though we didnât avail them since we preferred lounging and swimming. They had designated areas for swimming and for other activities which was pretty great. A guard is also stationed at the border, to make sure non-guests donât go over. We hope they improve on their Wi-Fi connectivity though. We had to log-in repetitively. But most definitely, my friends and I will return!
Booked a 1 night stay for my family of 5- 2 adults and 3 kids (5 yo and under)
Please note that we stayed during off-peak season and on weekdays (monday to Tuesday) so our experience relies heavily on that, I think.
La Luz exceeded my expectations since I read several negative reviews about the place before getting there. But after our stay, I must say it was overall a great experience.
Our room was clean and comfortable. The beach was very beautiful and clear. The food was good. The staff and service is great.
The view and the idea of having a cabana by the beach is wonderful. But the rooms especially the toilet is terrible. It smells and please clean it properly.
And the âmandatoryâ buffet meals are so expensive and not worth it (not delicious at all).
Excellent location of the resort because itâs beach front. Unfortunately, the toilets were dirty and the facilities looked undermaintained. Also they didnât mention in their website that there is a mandatory meal fee of P1750 per person.
They force the traveler to purchase their food without proper prior notification. The price of the food should be included with the room if one has no option
It was good not amazing. Didnt expect that the sand will be coarse. Also checkin took sometime because there is only one person doing it. They should add another person when its peak time. Overall it is a relaxing stay. Not so many people because the property is also big can accomodate a lot of people. It think the place is also popular for group outing. The food is buffet so its also worth the price. Though not so special. Some viands do standout like grilled fish, salad, pasta, unli brewed barako coffee. Anyway you have no choice because the foos is mandatory. They also have a bar inside so its also good I dont if there is one outside if u want to grab a drink and relax with friends. One of the nearest beach in luzon coming from Manila.
Check in time is at 1pm but the room is still not ready by 2:30pm. Upon check in, we were mandated to pay P1750 per head for the meals until they agreed to settle for 2 meals instead at P975 per head. This wasn't a part of the deal but apparently once booked with Expedia, this is the case. So disappointing as we weren't given a choice on the matter.
The road to get to the hotel is along some steep rock face and the road is in very poor condition and as is rainy season. So there can be some very muddy parts the car can get stuck and there is warnings of possible land slides along the road. For this reason we complained at the hotel and asked for refund as was not possible to stay here and travel in and out easily. We agreed to stay one night and two nights will be refunded to credit card (which I have not yet received). If not driving in and out and just stay at this resort maybe is OK otherwise it is a great location for the beach. Suggest to get the access road repaired.
I like the food, the beach, i love how we can snorkle and feed fishes near the shore. i dont like the staff unfriendly, doesnt look like they were trained well. No free toiletries for overnight stay. Too costly they couldnt even give out toiletries.just disappointing
