Historisches Ferienhaus im Schwarzwald

Set amid the tranquil fields of Wangels, the Farver Mill is a 200-year-old landmark steeped in East Holstein heritage. Lovingly restored by owner Karin Kügler in the 1970s, this cozy retreat retains its original mill technology and rustic charm. Guests enter with a hand-forged key and are welcomed by the warmth of timber beams and the hum of history, especially comforting during autumn storms.

The mill has even starred in an episode of Tatort, Germany’s iconic crime series, and remains a favorite among photographers and locals. Karin and her partner Gerd Hammerich, who run a furniture store nearby, treat the mill like family and continue to host guests with heartfelt hospitality.

Perfect for a relaxing holiday, possibly with your pet, the mill offers access to forest walks, the Stöcklewald tower (6 km), and cultural gems like the German Clock Museum and Phonograph Museum in St. Georgen. Whether you're chasing quiet moments or historic charm, this mill delivers a truly unique stay.

Knus huis, lieve eigenaren, maar dichter bij een (doodlopende) rommelige weg met vrachtwagenbedrijf dan foto’s en omschrijving doen vermoeden. Anderzijds: wel een boommarter gezien daar.

Eersteklas aanrader in het Zwarte Woud!!

De woning zelf is fantastisch en prachtig gelegen. Voorzien van alle gemakken is het een ideale uitvalsbasis om de zeer mooie en rustige omgeving te verkennen. Ook de zeer hartelijke eigenaren zijn beslist een pluspunt voor een verblijf in dit sfeervolle huis met zijn fraaie terrassen aan de voor- en achterkant.

Schön, aber!!!!

Gemütliche Hütte, sehr nette und liebenswerte Gastgeber. Morgens um kurz nach 6 von LKWs einer Spedition (40m Luftlinie entfernt) geweckt zu werden, gehört nicht zu meinen Vorstellungen von Urlaub.

Sehr entspannte Osterferienwoche

Wir kommen gerade zurück von einer Woche in der Alten Mühle in St.Georgen. Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Überaus freundliche Vermieter sowie die Lage fast direkt am Wald, Ostereier suchen im Garten und natürlich der super Kachelofen.... Vielen Dank für alles Familie Hamm
