We've already stayed in villa Iru several times over the past years and always enjoyed it to the fullest. The house as well as the property is very well kept, modern and offers more than enough space. The location in a quieter side road is also perfect for spending relaxing days at the pool and in the extensive garden. Binibequer Vell offers everything in a walking distance like shops, restaurants and a really nice beach. On top of that Francisco is a great host, so we're already looking forward to our next stay.

Wonderful as always

Since 2021 we're spending our May holidays on Menorca and each year we've stayed at villa Riu. Obviously we love the place. The house interior is of high quality, is spotless and it stays pleasantly cool during hot days. Binibequer is a lovely village and within a short walk you can reach restaurants, small shops, etc. The house itself is located in a quiet street and offers lots of privacy. It is well catered for with regular visits by gardeners, house keepers and the pool cleaner. The pool area with the patio as well as the big garden are perfect for spending the whole day. Seeing the updates made to house furnishing and the pool area over the past years we can say that the owner Francisco is looking after the place and sees to keep it in a very good condition. What one has to know is that there is little to none basic commodities available, such as salt, pepper, oil and only a few cleaning utensils like dishwashing liquid and a few garbage bags. So it's recommended to do some baseline shopping before driving to the house. Needless to say, we're looking forward to our next stay here.

Das Haus an sich ist sehr schön. Die Lage ist gut, nicht weit zum Meer, grosser Garten, Pool, das passt alles. Wir hatten leider die Situation, dass das Haus bei unserer Ankunft verdreckt war. Offenbar war das Reinigungsteam nicht erschienen oder nicht auf unsere Ankunft vorbereitet. Nach mehrfachem Insistieren hat es dann geklappt und das Reinigunsgtermin erschien, kam sogar wĂ€hrend der Woche nochmals. Man hat sich dann gekĂŒmmert, das ist positiv. Was wirklich negativ zu bewerten ist: die Ausstattung ist wirklich basic. Die Betten sind eine Zumutung, die KĂŒche ist rudimentĂ€r ausgestattet. Es gab keinen Korkenzieher, keinen Flaschenöffner, keine Sets, keine Tischdecke, keine Eierbecher, keine anstĂ€ndigen Schneidebretter, etc. Das ist vor dem Hintergrund des Preises fĂŒr die Woche völlig unakzeptabel und unverstĂ€ndlich. Meine GĂŒte, so teuer ist es doch nicht, ein Haus anstĂ€ndig auszustatten ! Insgesamt hatten wir den Eindruck, es kommt nur darauf an, Geld zu machen. Da geht mehr !

Beautiful house with some practical deficiencies

The house is beautiful and spacious. It is nice and cool on hot summer days. It sits in a quiet neighbourhood and offers a lot of privacy. The mattresses are comfortable. The outdoor seating area is very comfy too. However, having rented a great number of houses in the past, we were somewhat disappointed about the lack of personal touch. Key handover was done by the cleaner without any further explanation of the house or its appliances. There was no welcome note and no explanation as to where e.g. full bin bags should be taken. It would help guests look after the house. I received the details of a local caretaker beforehand but we had to proactively contact her and communication was matter of factly. Contrary to the listing, not a single basic commodity such as toilet paper or salt was left to us. The house was stripped bare, we had to buy everything from scratch including bin bags. I guess given the price point of the house we would have appreciated a bit more than a basic welcome. The major disadvantage of the house in our opinion is that the flooring is all concrete, meaning there is a lot of echo and any noise travels through to the bedrooms. There is also no door between the kitchen and the living area. Other than that it is a stylish villa in a nice location.

Ein Traum an Haus!

Ein sehr freundlicher Gastgeber, der auch super schnell Antwort und sehr viel VerstÀndnis hatte, als uns leider einige Sachen kaputt gingen :-( Vorgefunden haben wir ein sauberes & wunderschönes eingerichtetes Haus. Jederzeit sehr gerne wieder!

Wonderful Villa

A really lovely villa that I can highly recommend. The whole interior was spotless and of high quality. The large garden with pool and lounge area left nothing to wish for. Owner and property manager are doing a great job. We would definitely come back.

Tolles Haus mit Pool und Wiese

Alles verlief reibungslos, und wenn Hilfe benötigt wurde, kam unsere freundliche Ansprechpartnerin sofort vorbei. Die drei Schlafzimmer liegen alle im Erdgeschoss, zwei haben einen Ausgang zum Garten. Es ist alles gut durchdacht. Zur Halbzeit - wir waren eine Woche zu Gast - wurden HandtĂŒcher und BettwĂ€sche gewechselt. StrandtĂŒcher muss man natĂŒrlich wie ĂŒberall selber mitbringen. Supermarkt, Restaurants und Strand sind zu Fuß schnell erreichbar. Absolut zu empfehlen.

Relaxing family week away

We really loved the property. It lived very nicely and although small, it worked really well. The outdoor area and in particular the pool were a highlight. The only down side was that the living area was a bit warm and would benefit from air conditioning. It would also be helpful if there were an information booklet on the house and local area.

Beautiful villa in ideal location.

The villa is beautifully presented inside and out. Comfortable seating areas for everyone to relax and to eat with plenty of shade around the pool. Lovely walks into the village and also down to the beach. The only downside, which is such a pity as the villa itself is great, is the complete lack of any basic supplies in the kitchen. Cleaning cloth and sponge were provided and one dishwasher tablet but no washing up liquid or any other cleaning products. We were disappointed that there wasn’t even a bottle of water in the fridge. No oils or condiments whatsoever so if you want to enjoy the bbq and eat at the villa then everything needs to be bought or brought with you. The host was very prompt in replying to messages which was good as there is no information in villa regarding services in the area eg doctors or pharmacy. We had a really lovely holiday so it’s a shame as these issues would be very easy to solve and I’m sure would make a big difference to most guests.

A peaceful, enjoyable, well equipped and located stay.

We know the area well and this villa ticked nearly all the boxes for us. The property was very clean with fairly new fittings and fixtures. The kitchen is pretty well equipped, (although there were no wine glasses) with most implements one could expect and plenty of tableware. All the appliances were in good condition and worked well. Storage space in the bedrooms is at something of a premium, with a double wardrobe in each, but a lack of draw/shelf space for storage. There are no full length mirrors anywhere. The two bathrooms are modern, with spacious showers and good water flow. The only drawback being a lack of door and full height wall, separating the master bedroom from its' en-suite. This is something that should be highlighted in the details, as it is a significant problem from our perspective. The outside area is very nice, with a good sized patio area, allowing for dining, furniture and sunbeds, with anti slip flooring, and a neat slot drain joining the pool surround. The garden is laid out simply and nicely, affording a very high degree of privacy. The pool is in great condition and well maintained, although unheated. As with many of these villas, the rear garden has no physical separation from the front, so the pool man and gardeners just wander around during the day without any warning. At least the cleaners ring the door bell! Overall, we had a really nice stay and would definitely recommend it for a peaceful, enjoyable, well equipped and located stay.

WOW! What a beautiful villa!

We absolutely loved our weeks holiday here during the Easter break. The serene villa makes you feel instantly relaxed and the pool and garden area is beautiful. The teenagers enjoyed the pool (as did the adults!) along with football and volleyball in the garden and the location is perfect for having a wander down in to the village or for jumping in the car to explore. The villa was really well catered for and was super clean. We would love to return some time and would 100% recommend the villa. Thanks so much for providing such a wonderful place to stay.
