This home was wonderful for me and my family. We stayed 4 days, and everything worked amazingly. The rooms were great, we made good use of the kitchen, hung out in the living room, and enjoyed the hot tub. Location was central to all the places we needed to go (UCSB, zoo, downtown, breach, grocery store). We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

We traveled from Wisconsin to California for a wedding and were incredibly grateful that the house was clean, comfortable, and spacious—especially since it rained the entire trip. The layout was perfect for our group, with two ensuites that made it easy for seven adults and a one-year-old to settle in comfortably. We loved being just a short walk from the steps down to Mesa Beach. We would absolutely stay here again!

Wonderful House

La Maison was a great house choice for our visit to Santa Barbara. The house was immaculate. One minor issue with the kitchen faucet was fixed quickly by VROSB. We highly recommend La Maison Mesa. The staff at VROSB are very responsive and do an excellent job taking care of their guests.

Perfect Anniversary Getaway: Spacious, Clean, and Ideally Located

Loved staying at La Madison Mesa house while celebrating our 25 wedding anniversary. The house was spacious and big enough for 6 adults. It was clean and well stocked. Location was fantastic for anyone enjoying walking to hiking trail or walking to the beach.

Great location and house

The house is perfect for a group of people wanting to spend time together. The house is spacious with plenty of seating for either a game around the table or watching a show on the TV. The backyard is beautiful. The hot tub is an added bonus! The walk to the Mesa beach was great.My only few recommendations are that the homeowner add more spices to the kitchen, fix the bed in the master bedroom and put some type of outdoor runner in front of the hot tub to prevent dirt getting into it.I would definitely rent this house again.

March 2024 Santa Barbara Wedding Accomodations

We had a lovely stay at the Mesa Home. Several families were comfortably accommodated during a wedding weekend, and we were all very happy with our experience. The kitchen was well-appointed and easy to use. The living/dining rooms were generously equipped with seating. The beds were all quite comfortable and there were plenty of bathrooms to go around. The location was perfect for getting quickly to State Street and downtown SB, and we took advantage of the beautiful hikes within easy walking distance. Very clean, bright, beautiful, and accessible. Enjoyable stay

The property was in very good shape. The only issue was that a bath towel and washcloth were shredded in the washer as they were quite threadbare. The property manager was notified. We also experienced quite a few spiders. The property manager indicated that this was a common problem in Santa Barbara, but had an exterminator at the property within an hour to treat it. Very satisfied with the quick response. No spiders for the rest of the stay.

Santa Barbara House

The house was clean and comfortable. Worked well for our group which consisted of me and my husband, my daughter and son-in-law , nanny and two toddlers. My husband I and took the second "master" so kids could be close to parents. Slight negative is that this second bathroom was a bit small as was the shower. Location was really good. Have a feeling that maybe was a "miss" of cleaning company or whoever stocks the house-- Had toile paper and kleenex but wasn't util after we came back from market that realized had no paper towels or sponge to clean dishes.

You can't beat a 4 BR house in the Mesa area!

Viki is a great host - extremely communicative. The kitchen was smaller than we hoped, and so we had to cook at my parents' house about 1/2 mile away. However, the house was spotless, four bedrooms were key for our group, and hte location can't be beat. It was ideal. That said, the outside furniture was a little dirty (unavoidable with the leaves, likely), and less comfortable; dining room chairs were a little hard; and, with body wash, sh/conditioner in the showers, I would have hoped for some full size containers for a week stay rather than the little hotel size we had. But these are nits. It worked very well for my family, and I would rent again.

Great Property but Be Aware

I loved the property, the neighborhood, and the location. I have rented many similar rentals through other affiliates, and spoke with other family members that have rented Vrbo, but never have I had to use a property management company to do so. If I have to go through another property management company just to rent a Vrbo, I will not do it! First, I had to fill out paperwork like I was renting an apartment and completing a 12 month lease. Our family was only staying 3 days and 3 nights. I say that because check-in is 4pm and checkout is 10am with no flexibilty; ridiculous! I don't mind paying everything up front, but I also had to pay an extremely high deposit, which they tell me may not be refunded for 2 to 3 weeks. That is unexceptable; this day and age it should be 3 to 5 business at the very most. Technology allows one to process refunds immediately once it's been decided everything is okay. Most hotels release a hold on funds within 3 days. Also, I received an email stating payment, but never received an email on how to access property until the day of. I was told it was sent and to check spam mail but I never received it. I contacted them 2 days before to tell them I needed this information before traveling, but didn't received until day of. Very disappointed to say the least. The owners of the property should know they have a great place, but I would never rent again because of this process the property management put me through. Great place to stay for family, but be aware of what you will have to do to rent. It doesn't take all that to rent a property; I've rented many with less hoops to jump through.
