The room they assigned to me is not the room i reserved. I was shocked when i found out that i was given a handicap room. Room doesn't have a bathtub , instead it's a shower with the same level as the bathroom floor. Water flows all over the bathroom when you shower because of poor drainage. Totally unsafe because it's slippery.I complained and asked the staff if they could move me to another room. They said "NO" because i booked the room through a third party. They told me i should have book from the Hampton inn website instead of Hotels.com. this will be my last one for sure making reservation on this hotel. I would also share my experience with all my colleagues.

I had a very unpleasant stay at this hotel. Despite the Hampton Inn name, the room conditions were far below expectations. There were bugs, cockroaches, and even spiders in the room, which was extremely disappointing and unacceptable for a hotel at this price level. The floors were dirty, and my kids’ socks and clothes became filthy within minutes of walking around. It clearly hadn’t been cleaned properly. It also seemed like only one staff member was handling everything, which made it difficult to get help when needed. When I brought up the issues, I was told the hotel is “going to be remodeled,” but no one could say when. That doesn’t help guests who are staying here now. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience, and I would not recommend staying here until the hotel is properly cleaned, staffed, and remodeled.

Exterior looks great but the rooms are very dated inside. Upon arrival, noticed the towels were all stained. The bedding top covers too. The fan in the AC unit would not turn off even though the thermostat was turned off. We were told all the rooms on the top floor were taken even thought we checked in early. Late at nite once we were in bed, we could hear so much stomping and ruckus from above. We could barely sleep, including my small children. The breakfast was just ok. The yogurts were not cold and the oatmeal looked like water. The staff tending to the area was so harsh when I asked a question. Overall not a great stay.

I had a problem with the plumbing, specifically the sink. Something was backed up which filled my sink and would not drain. I couldn’t tell what it was but it was a foul odor. The hotel manager was not available at 9:30 pm and there was no emergency maintenance. Front desk told me I had to bear with it and there was nothing they could do.

Aside from the fact that like every hotel in the greater Santa Barbara area this one is grossly overpriced, the stay was excellent--the room was clean and well sized. The staff were great; they were professional, helpful, and friendly. The breakfast was enjoyable and the coffee good. The location is 5 minutes away from UCSB and 15 minutes from lower State St. And, there was adequate parking (can't say that about every hotel in the area). Aside from the the fact that everywhere else (except Manhattan) you'd probably pay at lease half as much for the same room, I have no complaints and had an excellent stay.

Clean room except for water on the bathroom floor and sink upon arrival, house keeping didn't know English. Plenty of breakfast options! Upkeep was great! Always clean and smelling good! I would 100% stay here again.
