I really enjoyed staying at this rental. The interior is upgraded with all modern appliances and decor. The location is in a great neighborhood that is within walking distance of the beach, Stearns Wharf, the Funk Zone and Lower State Street. it's also very close to the giant fig tree and train station. Parking was easy to find on the street and even with the 90-minute parking limits between 10 am and 5 pm on weekends, I had no issue finding a spot when I had to move my vehicle.
The kitchen is awesome. Everything was clean and modern. I especially enjoyed having power and USB ports on the island.
The bed was comfortable but the couch was a little bit firm for my liking. Plus, you can't really see the TV while sitting on it - the location of the couch and TV did not make much sense, but who really sits around and watched TV while on vacation? Not a big deal to me.
The bathroom, while small, worked well. The shower was nice and had great water pressure. I would prefer more counter space to place a toiletry bag but that's just a personal preference.
The patio was great. The furniture was comfortable and you have a view of the mountains when the marine layer is out to sea.
My only complaint would be that I think there needs to be a ceiling fan or a box fan available in the unit. It got pretty warm in there at night, simply because there isn't really a way to circulate the air into the unit. It was cool if you are right by the window or sliding glass door, but fairly warm in the bed.
Overall, I enjoyed this rental unit and would absolutely stay there again. In fact, I am recommending my parents look into a larger unit in the same building when they go to Santa Barbara to visit my sister.
