It's a nicely run hotel. We were a bit worried since we realized there were dogs and young kids in rooms near us while walking to ours, but we didn't hear anything after getting into our room and throughout the night.

The room was infested with ants, both phone chargers in the room did not work, and there was a baby diaper left from a prior guest in the bathroom trash can. Also all the shower soaps were in bottles that could be opened and tampered with. This is the first time I have ever seen that. When I told the front desk about all the problems all they said was sorry.

After seeing beautiful Solvang and the Christmas lights we wanted to relax in our room but with only one chair that was hard it wasn't easy to relax.

False advertisement and an argumentative staff. I chose a room with a "valley view" and was disappointed that the view was completely obstructed by large oaks immediately behind the hotel property. I spoke to two different employees at the desk (check-in and check-out) to give my feedback and both argued that the trees belonged to the neighbor and there was nothing they could do about the lack of view the "valley view" room i reserved, and 4 other similarly advertised rooms, had. Ive got an idea...how about not advertising them as "valley view" rooms that cost slightly more than rooms w parking lot views!!! There was no apology or effort to offer a room w a view and make my stay what i imagined it would be. Wont stay at the Vinland (Solvang) ever again.

The hotel was okay. The two buildings are separate. The lounge is the main building so little inconvenient if you’re in the second building. The bathroom sink was in the room versus in the bathroom so little awkward. Otherwise, staff was friendly and hotel was clean.
