We've stayed here twice now, and love it. Fun, quirky architecture makes you feel like you're really in a different place.
Service is great, free breakfast is wonderful, and the rooms have everything you need. Rooms have a little bar area with a mini fridge, and always have a table and chairs that are handy for a drink or a game of cards.
Great place, we'll be back!
We arrived early at the property. We asked whether our room could be ready early. We were asked for our cell phone number and we would be notified. After walking around for over two hours, we arrived back and were told it wasn't ready yet, so we left and got a drink at a drive thru. We arrived 30 minutes later - room still wasn't available. We were told that it would be ready in 30 minutes! Wasn't that nice? However, that put it at the regular check in time...nothing special there. 4:00 p.m. check in time is too late. I wasn't impressed with their attitude. The room was fine...clean and spacious. Overall an average stay.
The hotel is within a 2-3 min walk to shopping and excellent restaurants. However, for the price, the hotel definitely needs a facelift. The carpet in the room smelled musty and looked like it needed cleaning, there were ants in our 3rd floor room, you couldnât open any windows to enjoy the crisp outdoor air, the AC sounds like a lawnmower (way too loud) for a hotel room, water pressure in the shower was low, breakfast was subpar: see thru bacon and rubbery eggs, oatmeal in packets(!) without fresh toppings, no fresh pastries.
The property is a bit rundown, but not horrible. Just donât look under the beds or dressers; they havenât been vacuumed since 1977, give or take.
The staff was amazing and very helpful with any concerns or questions.
The breakfast was your run of the mill continental breakfast; nothing special.
Beautifully built, staffed, and cared for. Very good breakfast included. Great value. There is considerable noise from the plumbing in the building and footsteps above, in our case. Manageable though.
