Despite adjacent downtown Seaside being overrun with loud hordes of unsupervised teenagers, we were still able to enjoy a private and (somewhat) quiet spring break thanks to the property. If we come back, we probably won’t return during “Atlanta week”.

The upstairs porch became my favorite morning and evening spot for amazing views. The home was very comfortable with everything you could need for 2 or for 6. Southern Exposure is my new favorite and am already planning to come back.

The home is older and renovated so it has a warm charming atmosphere, great for families. Plenty of outdoor seating in private garden and on wrap around deck. Location is very convenient for walking to beach, or town square. Our family had an amazing experience. We did see 4 large cockroaches, and ants in the kitchen, which put a small damper on things. Also, the beach is beautiful and private but the cost for chairs and umbrellas is quite high. You aren’t permitted to use an umbrella not supplied by Cabana man. Ended up paying ~$700 for 5 chairs and 2 umbrellas x 3 days, something to consider. Front entry could be upgraded. Was supplied one door key and the lock was temperamental, key had to be inserted slowly and just right. I would suggest new lock or just go electronic entry.

Reviewer Comments: The location of the house was wonderful, and Homeowner’s Collection was very responsive, but there were multiple issues with the house. To start with, the house was unlocked - including the front door and all ground floor windows, when we arrived. We could not get access to the key through the lock box, as there were three lock boxes and it was unclear which one was to be used. Also, the plugs in the master bath did not work and we had to call out maintenance. Multiple bulbs in the house were burned out and we had to tighten or replace them for them to work. The house was also not clean. There were dead and mildewed flowers on the kitchen table by our arrival packet. And the cushions on the sofa were dirty and there was tons of stuff under the pillows in the cushions.

Southern Exposure in mid October

The cottage was beautiful, spacious, well laid out, and very conveniently located for access to the beach and town center. The view of the ocean was great and made for memorable sunsets. On the decks we could often enjoy the fragrance of gardenias! A large measure of privacy was possible and we always felt safe- even with small children. Highly recommend.

Great experience…..never used pool or any of That….went for beach only…:: would that have lowered our rate if I did not want swimming pool amenities? Would like to rent this again and just checking my options….thank you!

The home is set back just enough so you don't hear any traffic on 30A and it is just close enough to the square that you can walk to any shop. The space allowed for food in the kitchen was tight but having the separate ice maker made up for it. The view cannot be beat in this house and because of this we will make this the property we will return to every year to come. There was a moderate amount of sand under the furniture which I brought up with management along with the cabinets in the kitchen being really sticky. They apologized and said they would mention it to the cleaning staff.
