Gorgeous home! Beautifully decorated. Loved the owners personal art throughout the house. Best location. Had several friends staying at other homes in the area and we all agreed that our spot couldn't be beat.

Great house for a cousinfest

The house was beautiful with lots of room for our family of 15 including 7 young children. Location was perfect - easy walk to pools, beach and town. All appliances worked well. The pool was heated as promised. One thing to know: there are a lot of steps -20 steps from entry floor to main floor, and more then 20 steps from main floor to top floor. No prob for most of us but the 3 and 4 year olds got carried a lot. Overall a great house. Highly recommend.

This was our fourth time to stay at Happy Place over the past several years, love the house and location, just a little disappointed to find the pool not in useable condition, furnishings showing wear, no hair dryers in bathrooms, multiple lightbulbs burned out. Time for a little TLC

The Happiest Place

Beautiful home with all of the amenities for a fabulous vacation. The location is steps from the beach, restaurants, candy and ice cream shops. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, silverware, etc. We enjoy the pool on the property as well as the pool in the Watercolor community. We have a large family with kids ranging in age from 14 to one year old. The owners are lovely! We have stayed at the Happy Place previously and will be back!

Great Location

This is the perfect house if you can't stay right on the beach. It has to be the closest property to the Watercolor beach access. Very easy walk - we did it with 3 toddlers. And you can get chairs the "day of" right on the beach. You don't have to make reservations although it is recommended. The house was clean and comfortable. In great shape too. Lots of sleeping area. We were all very comfortable. The front porch is a nice place to hang out and people/car watch. They have filtered water and say they have water bottles as a gift for everyone, but they have "supply chain issues" and do not have water bottles. SO BRING YOUR OWN because they don't have any at all at the house. Also - the owner was very slow to respond once the property was reserved. I got a little nervous the last couple of days before we left because they weren't responding to give us the property address. I finally sent a desperate and stern message to both husband and wife - and then heard back right away. They were responsive while we were at the house. AND - they heated the pool for our toddlers which was FANTASTIC! Would definitely recommend again!

Amazing location!

We had the best time at Happy Place. The location and pool were unbeatable. So easy to walk to the beach and beach club and loved the size of the house pool. The house comfortably fit 4 families and had everything we needed. Can't wait to return!

Great property across from Watercolor Beach Club

This three-story home was perfect for us to get together with our kids and grandchildren for the week. We had the option of walking across the street to the beach or going to multiple pools at the Beach Club or using our own private pool. The carriage house provided a quiet spot for those who preferred quiet. You could also walk to Seaside in 5 minutes. It was the perfect vacation home!

Fabulous Beach Vacation

We LOVED our stay at Happy Place! The house is close to everything: beach clubs, groceries, restaurants and shopping. You can walk and bike safely everywhere. The entire property is well thought out with lovely rooms, porches and pool area. Tastefully decorated, fully equipped (kitchen is packed with everything you can dream of needing!) and lots of space to spread out makes it a perfect family spot. While we filled almost every bed, we never felt like we were stepping on each other. The owner and property mgr were very accommodating, gracious and helpful with questions and issues. With that said: checkin in time is firm- there is no flexibility. This is clearly stated in the property description and the reasons are valid, so don’t ask for something different in any pre-rental period communications. (In our case, the property manager/owner response was ambiguous which lead to confusion.) For good reasons, there just isn’t an “early”opportunity. And there is NO access to the Watercolor amenities before checkin (ie- no wristbands available.) Fortunately, there is a very close public beach access, but bring all you own beach “stuff”. Bottom line: Plan your travel accordingly! Overall- a top property and we would return!

Older home, great location, light bulbs out, flat tires on bikes, needed a more thorough cleaning, worn out furniture, a lot of unnecessary accessories etc, broken granite table top, master bathroom toilet is loose on floor, dryer broken, fire alarms in carriage house going off. They did respond to us but too many things to correct in a weeks vacation, and not something you want to deal with when you show up on vacation especially when you are paying a premium price per night.

Multi generation Xmas celebration

Easy to work with the homeowner. House was perfect size for 17 of us; we also had five more people across the street at watercolor inn. Great location across the street from beach. Easy to walk, golf cart, or ride bikes to restaurants, food trucks & shopping. Carriage house was perfect for extra privacy. One Master on main level (2nd floor) was perfect for our elderly parents. All beds very comfortable! We loved the kitchen open floor plan with multiple sitting areas - enjoyed quality time together playing games, talking, eating, etc. I would book it again!

Best Location in Watercolor...Perfect for Large Family or Group

Great property with arguably the best location in Watercolor. Numerous bed options make it great for a variety of traveling parties. Kitchen is well stocked and makes cooking for a large group easy. Multiple deck options allow for plenty of room to spread out and be outside. Overall a great property. Owner has local management representation and they were very quick to respond with any minor issues that popped up. Pro-tip: make sure to download both the Sonos SL2 and SL1 app to access all the speakers in the house.

Happy Place makes happy vacations!

Our family of sixteen ( 8 adults & 8 children) had a fabulous time at The Happy Place. The house is prestine, well equipped, and very spacious for a large group. The location could not be better. You can see the beach from areas of the house and walk there in 2 minutes. The pool was great. We all enjoyed it. The home owner is amazing and very responsive. You will not be disappointed if you vacation at The Happy Place. We’ll be back.

Excellent First Class Home with Second Class Wifi

The home is spectacular, very well appointed with high ceilings, moldings and beautiful wood floors, defying its rental status. The location could not be better, adjacent to the Watercolor Inn entrance. In this regard the home was as represented and all of us were pleased with that aspect. The home lacks small amenities like scissors, pencils and pens, tape and the toilet paper ran out halfway throughout our visit. While an inconvenience, certainly none of this is worthy of a ding. The reason for the loss of a star is the wifi system. Our son was conducting business via Zoom calls. The speed and reliability prohibited him from doing so in the "carriage room", the room over the garage and removed from the noise of house guests (mainly children). The reason he came on this vacation was because of this room so he could have privacy during his stay. The room he eventually selected with suitable speeds was the downstairs' bedroom, adjacent to the mudroom and modem. This necessitated displacing our daughter and husband. And the house needed to have the kids leave the home at various times during the week because of their background noise. And when present they needed to be off their mobile devices. In today's era it is unacceptable to have anything short of fast dependable wifi speeds. This is especially true when the guests are paying $24K rental for the week. The owner needs to invest in a commercial grade dependable system. Absent attention to this matter, we would be unable to return to the home.

Perfect Space

Happy Place was a fantastic stay for our group of 5 couples. Can't beat the location right across from the beach, plenty of space for 10 adults to spread out. We rented a golf cart - but didn't need it at all! Book now!
