Great location BUT not clean

This is the second time we’ve stayed at this property. We loved it the first year before it sold to property management group. It was so disappointing that basic cleaning needs weren’t met upon our arrival. Floors were not cleaned, bathrooms were a mess, needs major furniture updating as tables/ chairs were wobbly. Property also needs an overall cleaning and touch up paint. Trash was found all around the landscaping and when we arrived the pool was recently shocked and couldn’t be used. Very murky. It’s a GREAT location but probably won’t revisit due to cleanliness. We own rental property ourselves and have a certain standard and this didn’t meet it at all.

Clean and renovated home, great location, lacking a few small details

Pros: clean and tidy. Great location within walking distance of all the seaside restaurants and beaches. We really enjoyed the pool. New kitchen appliances with plenty of plates, pots & pans etc. Check in was easy and communication with the host was great. Cons: limited supplies provided considering the high price of renting the home. No extra toilet paper, paper towels, detergent, coffee filters, etc.. Would give it 5 stars if these extra details were added. The downstairs AC had a little trouble keeping up (it doesn’t have a separate unit). Living room TV is small, and the TV remote had no batteries. Beach “toys” were piled in a corner of the backyard, would be nice if those were cleaner and kept in a storage bin.

Great house and location!!

House was perfect for my family of 4 and 2 friends. Love the location. Short walk to the beach and seaside. Only needed a car for grocery runs. Pool and patio were a good size. Would definitely stay here again!

We had the best time at Dogwood Cottage. The property is beautiful and within walking distance to restaurants, shops and the beach! Comfy beds, awesome pool, and all the amenities you could need. Carole was very responsive to all of our questions. We can’t wait to rent this unit again.

Updated and Reverent to beach cottage lifestyle

Dogwood cottage was everything we hoped it would be and more! Settled among old world cottages and enormous investment properties, we loved every minute of our family time here! This home is a modest, updated throwback to beach cottages of yesterday with all of the comforts of today! The home was perfectly positioned away from the action; yet a quick walk to the beach and shopping. We enjoyed daily walks and jogs, morning coffee on the balcony, quick trips to the market for treats and wine, and fell in love with the quirky shops and food trucks. The heated pool was a great late afternoon spot for relaxing in the sun. The owners are very responsive and local! Don’t forget to have Taylor set up your chairs on the beach:)

Family getaway

Best Location, Cute House!

This house really is in the best location. Just east of Seaside (7 min walk to center of town), but nestled in a quiet neighborhood, which we appreciated. Also just a 5 min walk to beach access with MUCH less crowded beaches than down at Seaside. We were close enough to the dining and shopping of Seaside, but we enjoyed a much more relaxed beach experience. The house is very clean and everything in working order. Carole is really responsive to questions, which is so nice. The pool and back yard area were lovely. This is a really great place to stay!

2 week Great Vacation

The home was very clean with the exception of a lingering smell in one of the bedrooms. The issues was immediately addressed, however, was not fully resolved. The comfort of the home was 5 stars! We loved having the large sofa and a fully stocked kitchen. The private pool was a HUGE bonus for daily use! The house sits on a quiet street and is a close walk to both the beach and Seaside. I would definitely recommend this house!

Enjoyable Retreat

The owner was helpful and responsive, and we greatly enjoyed our time at her home. The (heated) pool was a welcome refresh after a long day of tennis, and the location was perfect for a walk or short bike ride to the beach and several great restaurants.
