We checked in to the Wyndham Super 8 in Santa Rosa, NM between 5-5:30 on 28 Oct. The young women at the desk on that evening was curt, almost rude since I seemingly interrupted what she was watching/doing on her phone. There was not even a pretense of a “Welcome to the Wyndham Super 8.” Her responses to my several questions were abrupt, dismissive, not allowing me to even finish one question about the breakfast hours before replying, “Six to nine.” She did not inquire whether I wanted one or two room keys or if I had any questions. She was back to her phone before I was out the door. The room itself was spartan but provided all we needed for the one night stay. The onsite breakfast was typical. I recognize this Wyndham Super 8 is a two star hotel, so I was not expecting anything other than average, but the complete lack of a courteous welcome is unacceptable. We will not be staying there again, and I will urge my friends and family that should they travel and need to stay in Santa Rosa to avoid the Super 8.

Evening-night attendant was very rude to the nice gentleman that was in line ahead of me-very offensive to him:(. She was not a very good first impression of the motel. That being said, the gentleman attendant the next morning when we checked out was great!:)). No coffee maker in the room, but there were coffee cups. Batteries in remote very low n needs replacing. Plastic sack in ice container torn so worthless to hold the ice. Bedspreads n curtains need updating. Conditioner out in shower. Weeds needed trimmed backside of motel where pets go bathroom. Stepping stones into back door entrance n outside seating crumbling n uneven-very dangerous.

The room was very nice, clean and the bed was very comfortable. Front desk had 1 person. Thete were several people in line at 8 p.m. to check in on a Saturday night. I did try to e check in but program did not work. At check in, the lady was doing her best to cope wirh everyone checking in. However, later when I tried to get change for drinks, she was very put out to make change. No sign on vending machine saying ",COINS ONLY", but I was told that when I asked for change. I was standing in front of her and she simply just overlooked me and helped the person that just walked in behind me. BECAUSE, she said she had to into the office for change, so I had to wait. Then, everything was sold out, in the one vending machine on the property. Parking is wierd. No way to near your vehicle. Very strange set up. A lot of walking to get to your room. NOT A GREAT EXPERIENCE.
