This historic hotel is a bit dated but that's the whole point of a historic landmark! The rooms are super spacious and clean. The staff was professional and warm. This hotel is on Duarte and El Conde, which is where the tourists action is! Great value for the price. If I could give feedback to Management, it would be to deodorize the entire property so it won't smell old. I only say that because that's a turn off for most tourist.

This hotel was amazing, the staff was great. Everything was clean and very comfortable. The hotel is located in a safe place and it was near a variety of museums and many places to eat. I would definitely stay here again!

This is my second time staying at this hotel, and once again, it was an amazing experience. The first time I came, I got engaged — and the second time, I got married. This place truly holds a special meaning for me. The staff is incredibly friendly, and the service is always excellent. I’ll definitely stay here every time I visit the Dominican Republic. Very good location and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The property has a beautiful, old world colonial style. My main disappointment is they advertised having a gym and a steam room, but both are closed indefinitely so the hotel Polacio SHOULD make this known to all potential guests before booking. I always look for hotels with some kind of gym facility, so their blatant dishonesty was not appreciated. Overall it has a really nice old world charm, central location and friendly staff and so I do recommend it.

The location is perfect for walk in the colonial city but the hotel need more improvements the rooms have lot humidity you can smell the moisture, olso bed are uncomfortable definitely need improvement
