I grew up in this area and passed this location often and never considered it. When visiting, I thought I would. There are two things that make this area -- 1) The location -- if you want to get to a lot of things, this puts you in the middle - Sarasota, Bradenton, etc. 2) The small waterfront is super charming -- there are some picnic tables, grab some take out and eat it by the water. As far as the room goes -- it was lovely. It is a condo at the hotel. It did not look like the picture, but it had a bunk on one side and regular bed for the other.
Just stayed for the night with a flight out the next morning but the place was clean and updated. Would definitely stay again. The pool area was huge and having the tiki bar right on the property was a plus.
The room looked brand new. Super comfortable beds. Bathroom was a nice size and plenty of towels were provided. Great location to several fun attractions. My only complaint would be the lack of handicap accessible parking with sidewalk slopes.
Room was fine. Only 2 things to note:The bed was so cushy soft we sunk in the middle.Wasn't for us as I felt like I was constantly adjusting. Also the toilet was so close to the ground. Felt like something you would see in a grade school. My husband is 6'3 so you can only imagine.
We were unaware that it was a refurbished Ramada Inn room with a parking lot view. Hotel atmosphere was typical. Furnishings were also typical, except for the large TV, which was very nice. Across the street from Sarasota airport. Very north Sarasota. No toilet paper holder. Old toilet. Shower needs some adjustment and drain is very slow. And no white folder with information about anything. So I'm hoping we left everything in good condition. Our first VRBO. Will dig deeper next time
Great location, central to a lot of things to do. Great resturant and bar on site. Room clean and nicely decorated. Toilet runs if not careful when flushing. Had to unplug fridge to use micro. Despite a few quires like that i would stay again. few
Great location however the property had a bad mold problem
The Ramada resort itself was wonderful. The kids and my wife and I enjoyed the waterfront pool and restaurant, we loved how close we were to Anna Maria and multiple world class beaches. However the room itself was badly infested with mold to the point it was actually growing on the lamp shade and the mattress covers under the sheets. There were very strong air fresheners that had been placed in the room to try and combat the smell of the mold. Overall we enjoyed our vacation and I would stay at the Ramada resort again just not in this room.
Like access to the restaurant and pool. Been 2 years in a row. Very clean, and staff was great! Both years parade people took over the pool. Unfortunately, rules were not followed in the pool area.
The bonus of this property is the pool area and the tiki bar/restaurant on site. However the room was poorly ventilated and bed linens as well as towels need an upgrade. The room ventilation did not permit towels (hung on towel bar or shower rod) to ever dry out.
We enjoyed our quick stay here at the
Ramada Inn. Mattresses were very comfortable and so close to the airport! Loved the tiki bar and the waterway with beautiful boats out back.
I was disappointed there was no basic cable for the tv. I enjoy watching the local news in the morning and had to watch the Super Bowl from my cell phone. I have a short term rental property and we supply basic cable for all guests. I did find the place very clean and the bed was comfortable.
