I didn’t receive a room upgrade which as a VIP member I don’t think it should be my responsibility to ask. It should be offered upon check-in. I also think that having to pay $5 a day for parking regardless of being a VIP member or not is ridiculous. Upon checkin being told this was an expectation I felt was bait and switch. When I mentioned to the Host that I don’t feel I have a choice but to accept, his response was I could park elsewhere. As a guest to the city how am I to know where else I can park. On my last day the elevator was out of order. There are 2 but one seems to no longer be in order and the functional one was being repaired. Seems unreasonable to have 2 elevators but guests are still expected to take the stairs when 1 is out of order. What’s the point of having 2? Unfortunately based on my experience this time I will be unlikely to book here again unless I have no other options.

The hotel is very modern, stylish, and exceptionally clean. I really love the concept and overall experience. The only downside is that many amenities are charged separately, which can add up. Other than that, everything was perfect and I truly enjoyed my stay.

I’ve been to this hotel twice, and the first time the experience was fine. This trip, however, caused more headaches. Upon check-in, we were informed that we owed another $200 despite having paid for the hotel in full. The woman at the desk could not give a definite reason as to why we were being asked to pay more, and also told us that we could not use a different card to pay for the difference. Once we had Expedia get involved, she seemed to find a way to “resolve” the extra charge, and only placed on the card the $200 deposit fee. She told us that we didn’t have any balance, and that it was some sort of glitch. When we went to check out, however, a different woman told us we had a balance. As we were about to once again call Expedia, she suddenly said that the balance no longer showed and we were free to go. However, I noticed a $64 charge to my card, and Kompose sent us a bill of 264. Upon looking at this bill, it was multiple charges of pool access and sales tax. To clarify—we went to the pool ONE day, and on top of that the first woman had told us that the pool access was free and included. I am now watching my card to see if this $64 goes through, as it will be disputed since we paid for our entire stay through Expedia, and were charged this amount months in advance.

Newly unfinished.

Hotel was new or newly remodeled. Very clean and in good shape. They decided to not use wall coverings, leaving exposed concrete walls and ceilings. Room with desk was a room with a 14 inch shelf and a patio chair. No microwave, coffee, or iron in the room.

Our stay at this property was very good overall. The cleanliness was very good all over, the rooms clean and I could see that these are very well maintained. The beds are nice but the pillows were a bit bulky and not very soft but this is a personal thing. Breakfast was standard, when making reservations the breakfast is not included but for a fee of $7 you will have a standard breakfast, nothing cooked to order but decent to get you started for the day. They can make you specialty drinks like cappuccino, etc. I never used the pool but it looked clean and nice, the fitness Center has everything you need for a complete workout. The beach we love was about a 30 minute drive but for me no problem at all since I love Anna Maria Island, the Lido Beach was way closer and we enjoy going there as well, like a 15 minute drive. Plenty of places to eat around from fast food to fancy restaurants, the one that I recommend is Siesta Key Oyster Bar. There is only one elevator which is strange for a 5 story hotel but most of the time we took the stairs because we did not wanted to wait. The bar is nice we had a few drinks just to burn sometime and have a conversation. The lobby has a unique design very welcoming. Checking in and out is easy just use the stations located at the front for this purpose. The staff was very respectful, educated and well presented. The hotel has pool/beach towels that you will have to sign out for, always asked for 4 just in case we needed extra. No laundry room.
